The PoD is that the Romans are far more brutal in suppressing Christianity, which leads to a mass exodus of Christians to Iran (around the 2nd century AD). There they eventually proselytize the entire country.Since Christianity in OTL was influenced by Greco-Roman civilization, how would Christianity be different since it'd be influenced by Iranian civilization in TTL?

Well, if Rome was mean to the Christians, the Christians would just go to Iran and win because Jesus is the best. Obviously, Iran would become Christian super fast because their old religion (which is just fire-worship) is weak and wrong. Christian Iran would be exactly the same as medieval Europe but with camels and they'd probably join the Crusades against the Muslims, who wouldn't even exist because Iran being Christian would butterfly away Mohammed somehow. Also, their churches would look like mosques but with crosses, and they'd probably keep using those funny hats Zoroastrian priests wear because they look holy. The Bible would be written in Farsi from the start and King David's psalms would sound like Persian poetry. It would be a much more peaceful history because Christianity is peaceful, unlike those other religions.
>>18242922Hard to say what would happen too long-term. Main thing I see of interest is the Germanic tribes. With less contact with Christianity it's unlikely you'd see tons of East Germanics following Arianism and most likely they would follow their polytheistic religions. How this would mesh with the Roman state religions and the general syncretism as they migrate and are defeated and absorbed or subdue Rome would be impossible to predict, but would likely not entail the sorts of conflicts that arose between Christian sects.
