Unless you went to Oxbridge or an Ivy, you didn't "study" history, you merely listened to some low end "adjunct professor" who isn't a respected voice in the field wax lyrical about periods he doesn't understand. If you went to a community college, second-rate institution, or a third world university, you probably don't even have the skills or knowledge to do history. Do you know how to evaluate sources? Do you know how to make a line of argument? Do you know how to interpret facts? Can you weigh up historiographical methodologies and synthesise new, creative historical claims? The Oxford experience means you have one-on-one with an expert in the field and write essays every week. My professor was Cambridge educated and he said that students from other faculties cannot even think or write. Go figure. If you think you're doing "history" without a proper guide, you are merely a pop history slopper.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtGBX3eygGs
>>18244459>and just like that, I owned (intellectually) the users or the shitflinging board of a website frequented mostly by dishwashers, shelf stockers, and wards of the state by flexing my educational provenance at 3am...tch.... yeah im pretty fucking rad sir
>>18244474Your miserable attempts at history-as-a-hobby only makes me laugh, benchod.

>>18244489Have you even set foot in a classroom? Just watch any free online lecture about history and it is not about the fucking British Broadcasting Company. You're the textbook definition of a brainwashed idiot.

>>18244508>TorontoI said no second-rate nor third world universities. But you doing an exchange must hurt because you realized your shit low-end institution barely compared.
