Also, prophet Joseph Smith
>>
say what you will about Joseph Smith, but 2 Nephi 2:25 is one of the most beautiful verses of any scripture in the world

I don't know, I hear from even Mormons themselves that they think tbom is extremely boring. I think they prefer reading the OT and NT, which makes sense.

There are boring segments but as a whole it isn't boring. A bunch of Jews in the Americas building civilizations and having constant wars and internal conflict. The writing itself is what sucks. Take a shot every time you read "And it came to pass". It won't take long before you die.

idk I'm not a mormon but I thought tbom was fun.
people say the 'and it came to pass' is repetitive but honestly I thought it gave it a rhythm
book of alma was a bit of a slog but otherwise it wasn't a tough read

The idea sounds more entertaining than how it was written, I guess.

What did you find fun about it?

I thought the military narratives in the last half were interesting and kept the tempo of the prose flowing. And although the military tension was central, there are some cool episodes like when the Anti-Nephi-Lehies become redeemed and are even more righteous than the nephites.
The part at the end (3 Nephi?) where it's utterly apocalyptic and combatants are cannibalizing people is insane and would made an excellent movie with wide ranging battle scenes like lord of the rings.

Everyone says it needs a Lord of the Rings style adaptation, but I personally think it needs to be done in a bollywood style to encapsulate the tone and vision

I find it utterly repulsive and it shows how wicked Mormonism is. It's also stupid, Adam wasn't infertile and neither was Eve, they would have reproduced without sin. Do you think single cells ever sin? But even they reproduce. I can't believe Mormons fall for this drivel.
