>over 75% of threads (84 out of 110) under 20 replies
>only one thread over 100
>most threads over 50 are spam (7 out of 13)
How do we fix /his/? I think this must be the worst board on the site currently.
>>
>>18249071
Just make /rel/ already
>>
>>18249073
The religion posting is supposed to make this board fast and give it volume. Separating it would be pointless. The spam just needs to be tuned back a little bit so it's possible to have other threads. Perhaps the use of a general, like every other board, is in order.
>>
unsurprisingly /lit/ is closest to this level of shittification, but even they have generals and stuff

It's not possible to fix this shithole, unironically. The old user base (millenials) that actually knew enough history to make decent threads is long gone. The retarded zoomers that are responsible for all the spam are the only ones left, and they're too illiterate for anything besides breadtube personalities, let alone actual, nuanced /his/torical discussion.
Effort posting is pointless here because no one knows jackshit and can't even begin to engage.
>>
>>18249098
Woah, I'm so demoralized! Think I'll make an account on X™ where speech is truly free. This board has truly become "less interesting for its users," who am I to resist progress?
>>
>>18249099
there's a point in life where you have to learn what's worth spending energy on and what isn't
>>
>18249099
Can someone who speaks retarded schizobabble translate this?
>>
Just implement country flags, if thirdies want to favelapost like the low-IQ dogs they are we should at least have recourse to mock them from shitposting from a Medellin internet cafe o algo
>>
>>18249073
That's /x/'s job
>>
>>18249170
You just want an excuse to derail and shitpost, you are the part of the problem.
>>
100% of the problems on /his/ would be solved by
>jannies/mods doing their job
That's it. Also some of you retards need to learn to report/hide posts or threads that make you seethe. If you stop bumping retarded threads, they eventually stop getting made.
>>
>>18249170
/pol/ and /int/ tourists are probably among the worst part of this board. I remember when insufferable faggots tried to make a brit/his/ when the board first opened

all of you need to stick to your containment boards
>>
>>18249195
/thread
Blatant spam gets more bumps than anything. Just fucking report it jfc
>>
>>18249071
What irks me is that there are sometimes interesting threads but they get overrun by whatever flavor of the month schizos are currently active. Even worse are threads where OP asks about a potentially interesting topic, gets a handful of good & alright replies and then deserts said thread.
>>18249195
This.
>>
>>18249071
>minimum 150 words per OP
>remove permission to post here from anyone who has posted on /pol/ in the past year
I have saved the board. Expand this and you save the whole site.
>>
>>18249207
Not how the rule works. You can't report spam threads as spam, only identical posts. A mod can step in directly but there's no actual report for spam threads.
>>
>>18249195
>If you stop bumping retarded threads, they eventually stop getting made.
Im one person dude. There's people who unironically just sit on this board giving sincere angry replies to obvious bait posts all day every day. "Don't feed the troll" is lost knowledge now.

Besides, I do avoid those dumbass threads, but the people that those threads attract always force their way into the actual history threads I make and try to derail them
>>
>>18249082
fuck speed, fuck activity, fuck volume. This was my favorite board back when it was niche and the average thread lasted like a week. I'd rather wait longer for a higher average post quality than deal with 90% of the activity being provided by drooling retards who are only here to brag about their religion or jerk off and imagine their ancestors raping people
>>
>>18249195
The jannies are absolutely part of the problem. We had a fucking sticky for a new pope being chosen
>>
Make a religion board
>>
>>18249260
Atheist seething.
>>
>>18249239
The current era of permissiveness toward bots was supposed to get rid of old complainers and bring in new content consumers. 4chan is a job to them, the "community" is their enemy. And that's ok because this is a hard nosed adult website, we can be enemies a little bit without melting down. I think they've been partly successful in encouraging younger people to tune in, especially as the site gets a bump from it's notorious noncompliance with age verification laws. The spam knob is just turned up a little too high right now.
>>
its /int/ and /pol/'s fault
>>
>>18249281
/int/ is the only thing keeping this shithole afloat and /pol/ is just how you call life.
>>
>>18249071
history and religion don't work well with anonymous posting. you can't fix it without enforcing tripfagging
>>
>>18249071
Solution: we need more threads about haplotypes and 19th century scientific racism.
>>
>>18249345
/int/ one of the greatest cancers to this site

This, but replace with any discipline and its relevant board, and you have contemporary 4chan and its Untergang exactly figured out.
>>
>>18249071
>>18249094
You all simply do not browse many boards, and so make the mistaken assumption that the ones you do are uniquely like this.
>>
>>18249144
The last clause is what throws me off. But ultimately I believe it's just a triggered zoomer. That's how they all respond to being called out like that.
>>
>>18249082
I'd rather have a slower, but less retarded board like /sci/ than pseudo /int/
>>
>>18249170
this guy >>18249189 is right, and I don't disagree with >>18249198 either
you are a clear retard
>>
>>18249195
The "argentina was 85% white" schizo has been posting multiple times a day for months, none of his threads get any replies but it didn't stop him, nor any other spammers
>>
>>18249394
Those were actually interesting, insightful, and informed. Whatever level of quality you label those threads as, I had to wade through even lower to find this thread on the catalogue.
>>
>>18249218
>What irks me is that there are sometimes interesting threads but they get overrun by whatever flavor of the month schizos are currently active. Even worse are threads where OP asks about a potentially interesting topic, gets a handful of good & alright replies and then deserts said thread.
There was an interesting thread just the other day and half the replies were german and polish /pol/tards throwing shit at each other like chimps in a zoo, genuinely what's the point, but then again, /his/ is probably one of the younger boards demographics wise, tiktok brainrotted zoomers are beyond help
>>
>>18249880
Meanwhile, /sci/ is now a worse board than it was back then, just like virtually every board on this site, plagued by the same issues laid out by >>18249098
>>
>>18249880
The hard truth for /his/cels : slow boards aren’t necessarily any better than fast boards. Most are just as off-topic and full of shitposting as /v/ or /int/. Actually, in many cases they’re arguably worse because a few dedicated schizos can actively ruin the entire board due to the lower poster count. The few that aren’t like this are completely dead, get a few posts a week, and are essentially kept alive as museums.
>>
>>18249098
All you get are blunt one liners because its "based" and "funny"
>>
>>18249969
Its the same style of posting you see on reddit but with a different coat of paint
>>
No janny gives a fuck about this board and you can tell because this a meta thread that has been up for more than 30 minutes. You are wasting your time complaining.
>>
>>18249976
One meta thread per board is allowed, newfag
>>
>>18249983
In theory. In practice this never occurs and you fucking well know it.

I've been clicking around and so far /his/ is mogged by pro wrestling, origami, cooking, diy, extreme sports, quests, yuri, /t/, /adv/, /bant/, /news/ -- every board I've clicked has been superior. I just checked /vip/ and it's almost as bad, but that's a completely different product.
