>garden of eden is a metaphor to something>the whole of genesis is just jews describing their lineage>old testament is monarchist propaganda>jesus is completely different from what is written>revelation is just roman christians coping with the persecution, the dragon or antichrist is just the roman emperor. it goes agaisnt everything christ did and teached on earth too>lucifer isnt satan>hell and heaven are states of mind and consciousness, not actual placesall of this i got from just reading the bible
k, keep me posted
>>18250011>garden of eden is a metaphor to somethingIt's not, multiple times Adam, the fall, etc are referenced all over the OT and NT as real people and events. Of course real events have spiritual meaning and metaphors to be drawn from them, but they are still real events according to the Christian interpretation of the Bible (Basing it on Orthodox Church fathers, the most likely correct)>the whole of genesis is just jews describing their lineageLineage seems boring at first but it is actually important to fulfill many prophecies, the most important one being Jesus Christ's messiah prophecy. Messiah needed to come from a specific lineage and it's why so many lineages are listed and Christ's lineage is listed aswell.>old testament is monarchist propagandaYes, Christianity is 100% monarchical. Even the Trinity is Monarchical. God the Father is the Monarch who is the cause of the other persons of the Trinity.>revelation is just roman christians coping with the persecution, the dragon or antichrist is just the roman emperor. it goes agaisnt everything christ did and teached on earth too>lucifer isnt satan>hell and heaven are states of mind and consciousness, not actual placesI don't know why you got that impression, but it's not the canonical interpretation of the Bible by the Orthodox, which takes the entire OT and NT into account for a complete view, not just interpreting isolated verses like many try and do.
>>18250017i just started reading the bible out of curiosity, i dont follow any doctrine, be it catholic, protestant or orthodox.even reading NT and OT together and interpreting the whole work, it seems like the writers "forged" jesus into accomplishing all the prophecies more like
>>18250027That's one view I suppose, I think the destruction of the jewish temple in 70AD fulfills too many prophecies for it to be all made up. One from the OT is Daniel chapter 9 that pretty much predicts it exactly
>>18250032the temple was destroyed in the old testament and Cyrus is the messiah
That's probably what they're intended for themselves but not what they're selling.
>>18250056>always wondered why zoroastrians where considered people of the book>actually read the bible>pre bondage judaism is completely unrecognisable from post bondage erawhy don't christians recognise Zoroastrians too
>>18250125You sound like a Muslim. Only some Muslims consider the Majus as people of the book. They have some parallel with Abrahamic myths and beliefs but their legend is totally different from other Abrahamic religions. Most of the lore of the OT & NT can be found in the Quran and other Islamic traditions with some minor but also significant differences but not Zoroastrianism.
>>18250153I know nothing about islam beside memes, early judaism is esoteric, God is referred to be different names he is incredibly temperamental and the morality is all over the place
>>18250011>>18250013The Bible is the Priesthood of Babi marrying into, adopting the lore of and trying to cope with PIE hordelords taking over Egypt.Circumcision is the core tenet of Judaism because Babi represented the post-mortem virility of Osiris' severed penis.
>>18250011I burst out laughing when I got to the part in Revelation when god sends a legion of armored locusts with human faces as part of the apocalypse. Who would even come up with that?
>>18250011>itt: OP wants to show off his intelligence but doesn't realize his takes are midwit tier
>>18250011>hell and heaven are states of mindJesus clearly talks multiple times about the eternal life.
here are some more takes>the concept of god is so old it predates everything and even religion.>jesus is god but also an actual man>christianity was corrupted by judean zionism after 100 ad>the concept of the jews comes from the ancient egyptian concept of god with horns, like the bull-headed baboons in egypt, and the celtic god cernunnos who is also a horned god and the same gods worshiped by pre-greek people like minoans>christianity was born in syria and palestine by syrians not hebrews>catholism is the same as the cult of isis
