Who is your favorite ancient philosopher? For me, it's Aristotle. He seems based.
>>
Whoever was the closest to the Bible's teachings.
>>
>>18250124
That would be Solomon.
>>
Plato easily since his works provide the most mind crack. But the best are all good in their own ways and it's hard to say Plato is better than Aristotle.
I find Plato, Aristotle, Heraclitus the most interesting/worthwhile. But they would be nothing without their counterparts like Protagoras or the Sophists.
>>
>>18250124
Plotinus
>>
>>18250118
Biggus Dickus
>>
>>18250118
Plato is the most enjoyable to read, Aristotle was the smartest, but Epicurus was the most correct.
>>
HERACLITUS, AND SENECA, ARE MY PREDILECT ANCIENT PHILOSOPHERS.
>>
>>18250118
Aristotle Chad too. But I like Cicero as well. And Heraclitus.
>>
>>18250118
Epicurus. Least bullshit philosopher.
>>
>>18250964
Despite the hate you tend to get your knowledge of ancient lit is decent. Heraclitus for philosophy and Petronius for fiction as favorites isn’t that bad.

This is a strange quote considering
>Persians ruled over Greeks
>Macedonians ruled over Greeks
>Romans ruled over Greeks
>Arabs ruled over Greeks
>Turks ruled over Greeks
>>
>>18250118
Diogenes
>>
Seneca and his 27 million tonnes of silver he amassed simply for the love of the game.

>Whoever worshipped jews the most
>>
>>18252072
Er, ounces. Like 750 tonnes.

> Jessus was related to ashkies somehow, in spite of their talmudic cult arising much later
It's funny how the only insult you merchants have against Christ is to accuse him of being one of you.
It's a tipid acknowledgement of just how based Christianity and how repulsive the jew is.
>>

No way Aristotle could have been a self-aggrandizing Greek with all the rest! That said I like Aeschylus.
>>

Hippocrates in airs waters and places- Europeans are brave because they live in a cold climate which changes from season to season so they need intellect and bravery to survive whereas Asians/ Persians live in a mild climate where food is never difficult to find so they allow monarchs to rule them and live as slaves to pleasure essentially like ancient Eloi

It’s from airs waters and places but I’m not searching up the quote rn maybe later if you care

Epicurus

Like
>Heraclitus (he got pretty close to the Big Bang and Big Crunch and just in general how the universe really works especially for an ancient)
>writer of On Sacred Disease for not being materialist but diverging from kooky metaphysics
>Galen
>Polybus
>Plato

Dislike/ indifferent
>Asclepiades of bythinia
>Epicurus
>The Eleatics and Parmenides
>Democritus
