The Diocletian era was crucial for the rise of the cult of Sol Invictus, a pagan solar deity that became the unifying force of the Roman Empire under Emperor Aurelian from December 25, 274, and was adopted by Flavius Constantine before his promotion of Christianity. The cult of Sol Invictus was central to Roman imperial politics as a unifying force in an empire in crisis.

Sun God: Sol Invictus (Unconquered Sun or Indomitable Sun) was the official solar god of the Roman Empire, a cult that became prominent from the end of the 3rd century with the end of the Crisis of the Third Century.

Unification: The cult was promoted by emperors such as Aurelian and Constantine to unify the empire, with the emperor becoming the divine representative of the "Unconquered Sun".

Solstice Festival: December 25th, the birthday of Sol Invictus (Dies Natalis Solis Invicti), celebrated the rebirth of light after the winter solstice.

Constantine: Before his promotion of Christianity, Emperor Constantine used Sol Invictus on his coinage and decreed Sunday as a day of rest, linked to this deity, Sun-day (while the Old Testament day of rest was Saturday, the "Sabbath").

Diocletian's supposed persecution of Christians was actually a conflict to decide which solar deity would be elevated to the supreme god of the empire in crisis.
A portion of the elite likely felt that having a Jewish tekton as the supreme god was too humiliating. But, in truth, we will never know why the elite connected to Diocletian opposed Jesus replacing Sol as the supreme solar deity.

There was an attempt to elevate a solar god to the sole deity after the Antonine Plague by Elagabalus (218-222 AD), who tried to impose the cult of the Syrian sun god Elagabalus (or Heliogabalus) as the supreme deity of Rome, placing him above Jupiter. This angered the Roman elites and led to his assassination, but he was instrumental in the later rise of the cult of Sol Invictus (Unconquered Sun), which became the official solar deity under Emperor Aurelian on December 25, 274.

However, the Flavian elite realized that the story of a suffering god would be very useful in controlling the peasant masses.

The Jesus created by his ancestors, the court of Flavius Vespasianus and Flavius Titus, was then elevated to the position of Sol Invictus by Flavius Constantinus and Flavius Theodosius.

On December 25, 274, Aurelian, after unifying the Roman Empire, instituted Roman monotheism under the god Sol.

The other gods were relegated to mere saints focused on practical causes, such as the saint of marriage (Eros) and the saint of metalworkers (Hephaestus).

Then, the only thing Flavius Constantinus and Flavius Theodosius did was replace the god Sol (Sol was the god's name) with the Jesus who had been created by his senpaiilia during the time of Flavius Vespasianus and Flavius Titus.

And, over time, the names of the saints were changed from pagan names to Catholic names.

Until the 4th century, Christianity was merely a game played by the Roman elite, who controlled writing in the Empire.

Only a small elite had full literacy, money to buy writing materials, and the right to produce and reproduce texts in the empire without being killed.

The much-talked-about persecution of Christians was nothing more than conflicts between the elite who wanted to adopt Christianity as the state belief and the elite who opposed it.

There is NOT A SINGLE ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE of the existence of early Christian groups in the first two centuries. Nothing. Zero.

We have some texts from the 2nd century written by members of the elite allied with the Flavian family, the elite that destroyed Jerusalem. Many of these texts were written using false names and based on lies and propaganda.

THERE IS NOT A SINGLE ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE OF EARLY CHRISTIAN GROUPS IN THE FIRST TWO CENTURIES. NOTHING. ZERO. NIENTE

>The Diocletian era was crucial for the rise of the cult of Sol Invictus
Diocletian did not patronise the cult of Sol Invictus. He focused most of his religious patronage on Jupiter, whom he took up in his titular. He effectively abandoned the college which Aurelian created for the god. His religious reforms were about the traditional state cults.
>The cult of Sol Invictus was central to Roman imperial politics as a unifying force in an empire in crisis.
Clearly not considering half of the emperors didn't even care for it. It did not play any more important a role than the traditional state cults and receded from popularity in Diocletian's reign.

>The Jesus created by his ancestors, the court of Flavius Vespasianus and Flavius Titus, was then elevated to the position of Sol Invictus by Flavius Constantinus and Flavius Theodosius.
Constantine and Theodosius share no family relation, nor do they share any with the Flavians.
>On December 25, 274, Aurelian, after unifying the Roman Empire, instituted Roman monotheism under the god Sol.
Sol Invictus was not a monotheistic cult.
>The other gods were relegated to mere saints focused on practical causes
The state cults remained more important than the cult of Sol Invictus. They were not relegated to anything.
