>Immanuel Kant wrote, "The Spaniard's bad side is that he does not learn from foreigners; that he does not travel in order to get acquainted with other nations; that he is centuries behind in the sciences. He resists any reform; he is proud of not having to work; he is of a romantic quality of spirit, as the bullfight shows; he is cruel, as the former auto-da-fé shows; and he displays in his taste an origin that is partly non-European."Why did Kant show compassion toward non white monkeys, and why did he value work only fit for slaves?

Speaking about Spain (and Spaniards) without ever having left his hometown. I expected nothing less from this fellow... His Enlightenment ideas, which systematized the naturalist-rationalist errors established by Humanism (and indirectly also by Protestant fideism) since the dawn of the Modern Age, are at the foundation of the collective theoretical and practical mentality that has spread throughout the so-called Western world during our Contemporary Age. Their influence has been so pervasive that they have even infiltrated the Church on a massive scale (Vatican II), having previously become the basis of heterodox modernist thought.
