Does internal factionalism exist in the us military or intelligence agencies. And have there been any accounts of conflict?

You mean rivalries between the various branches of the armed forces and the intelligence agencies?
Of there are but the faggots always close ranks when it comes time to face foreign enemies.
There's not enough division for serious conflict between them

Sometimes in holywood or video games you see different factions that will have rivalries based on their strategic interests. I was wondering if there have been any clashes. It doesn't need to be recent. I also want to know if it's just a holywood thing.
