Catholicism in fact falls apart at the slightest scrutiny. Anyone who isn’t engaged in motivated reasoning can just see that there are contradictions between what the modern Catholic Church teaches and what they used to teach. It might be good that Catholic dogma has changed some of its dogma to become less medieval and dumb, but that doesn’t change the fact that it leaves Catholicism riddled with contradictions. It’s understandable why people would prefer Orthodoxy, because, whatever problems it has, it isn’t riddled with contradictions like Catholicism.Of course, as we all know, you should be a Protestant, but given a choice between the two, Orthodoxy is way more believable than Catholicism
