How is possible the only pre-indoeuropean language in Europe survived among the people with the highest Indoeuropean haplogroup in the world?
They got rapebabied too and gained significant indo European admixture. But at some point probably the first generation offspring of native women who spoke the basque language revolted and adapted horses into their armies and reverse rapebabied and assimilated the indo Europeanized tribes surrounding them.
>>18253517There is no archaeological evidence of a period of time in which Basque society was matriarchal.
>>18253517Basques are unconqueredMoors never reached that far northRome never truly civilized them and stopped trying pretty early on as they saw them as cornered and not worth the timeThey civilized themselves kind of like Picts just with far less violence AlsoThey’re Atlanteans
>>18254142>Basques are unconqueredSo why they are the most Indo-European people haploautistically speaking? Are the actually a IE people?
>>18254541Iberia and Gaul used to be like them pre Roman rule but Roman Empire brought immigrants and in France Germanic invasions happened, as whe country remained unaffected. Maybe also the basques were affected more by the first wave of indo european migrations which had high r1b but Celtic invasions had more diverse haplogroups and the basques did not mix with the Celtic wave but other parts of Iberia and Gaul did.
Bump
Extreme isolation. They suffered the initial indo Europeanization and their high R1b and their EEF language is a result of this both
>>18255222Probably a multi lingual society that after ethnogenesis started using more and more maternal influence. Isolation caused it.
Basques have actually been indo european because the language of nobility and literature has always been spanish (or french). Basques was the language of illiterate peasantry until recently
>>18255356Ooo okaySo Germans but based
>>18254104He didn't once in that post suggest that they were matriarchal. Post hand.
>Iranians are the true aryanshow likely is this?
>>18254142>Moors never reached that far northI didn't know Tours was below the pyrenees.
>>18255399Yes, he did retard
>>18253481It is pretty strange and there hasn't been any credible explanation for it either. Finns are sort of mirror image, autosomally one of the most indo-european groups yet have very low haplogroup %.
>>18255921>It is pretty strange and there hasn't been any credible explanation for it eitherIt is, they are iron age Iberians who weren't romanized. That's literally all there is to it
>>18255916>having a mother is matriarchy
No one knows. Maybe a few indo-european men assimilated into a matrilineal/matriarchal proto-Basque society then some freak population bottleneck event led to their haplogroups becoming dominant.
>>18255941Basque R1b lineage went through the founer effect about 4200 years ago. This coincides with arrival of Bell Beaker/Steppe people. Language change should have happened already back then (like it happened everywhere else in Atlantic Europe, where R1bs arrived.
>>18255944It's useless to even try. These people don't have reading comprehension
People seem to forget the Kingdom of Navarre artificially mept the Basque language alive to justify its independence for 600 years>i am once again asking the jannies to make the captcha harder
