The majority of Jews lived outside Roman Palestine. Only 1/4 to 1/6 were in Palestine itself.2. The Christians were persecuted in Palestine, with most of the Jews taking the anti-Christian side.3. The temple was destroyed a mere 40 years after Jesus crucifixion, the population in Palestine reduced by ≈ 40%, further accentuating the relevance of the diaspora and minimizing the presence of Christians in Palestine.4. Hellenized and/or diaspora Jews were much more receptive to the pro-Gentile Christian message.Hope that helps.
