What the fuck do Hermeticists even believe? They’re a pagan philosophy yet simultaneously a Christian and deist one. They’ve been associated with Egyptian pagan priests that blended their beliefs with Greco-Roman philosophy, Renaissance-era thinkers, and Freemasons. Can someone just clearly explain to me what Hermeticism even is and what they believe?
ask a scientist since every scientist is secretly a pagan magician

>>18285238Hermeticism is not Christian. Christianity draws from Hermeticism, and so they have things in common. Gnosticism is basically the Christian version of Hermeticism.
>>18285588Ok, but what do they believe in? What even is Hermeticism?

>>18285839Basically, there is this God called the All , we live inside his perfect Mind , imagine in your head a scenario , that scenario doesn't come to exist because you are a man , one of the lowest state of existence, what determines your state of existence? Your vibrations , basically you know how in science nothing ever stay still but vibrates at certain frequencies , so are you . Spirits vibrate at a higher frequency so you are unable to see them , just like you can't see a helicopter blades moving around because your eyes are "imperfect" it doesn't mean the helicopter blades aren't moving. So there are multiple states of being in the All's Mind . When you die you become a spirit and go to a higher state of living . One day we will all go back to be reunited in the All's Mind . That's the most basic stuff in a nutshell
>>18285238Gnosticism light+alchemy.God is an abstract thing that encompasses the entire universe. There is a Demiurge but he is not evil and works for God. Reincarnation existsts. Magic is cool and can help you to get to true heaven where God is (there are 7 heavens but your soul has to ascend rhrough them).
