Britain took over Bengal when outnumbered like 10 to 1. Before that a single British warship was enough to pressure local rulers into submission. During these wars a few French or British cannon operators was enough to turn the tide of a battle. And then again, why were they there in the first place? Why didn't brown people come to Europe and take it over? It doesn't have anything worth taking? OK but neither did certain parts of India and Africa. Why didn't those people rise up and take over bits of the world that had the resources they lacked? The goodness of their hearts, they're just "nicer" than white people?
