I watched a dicumentary where Hawass states, "If anyone can prove to me that civilisation started earlier than 6000 years ago, I will listen" the blokes a thief, a liar and not fit to run the car parking at a museum, let alone be in charge of the greatest wonders our planet has to offer (presently). Anyone who cannot debate a genuine hypothesis and demands they know everything about everything should not hold a position as he did. Archeology is shooting itself in the foot and should grow up. This situation is not disimilar to Physics, whereupon academia follows an unwavering path that protects their jobs. There is no desire to push boundaries, just toe the academic line, grab your salary and blatantly ignore the facts, It disgusts me and these people should stand down immediately. I guess the only alternative is a higher authority is pulling the strings and these weak people just bow to them.

Before you attribute Hawass behavior to hiding evidence of ancient alien contact to build the pyramids he is an old school Egyptian who ascended to a position of power and suffers greatly from imposter syndrome, Peter principle and fear. He defends his power by controlling the access and does it in a manner of what is considered classic patriarchal behavior.
