I find this scenario very interesting because France would likely have evolved into a parliamentary monarchy after the disastrous defeat of Poitiers in 1356 and the ensuing revolt in 1358, with the Estates generals acting as a parliament with the ability to vote taxes like in England and absolutism could probably never happen.I'm also wondering if so, would have and Charles VII been able to defeat England in this scenario, considering he wouldn't be able to impose taxes easily to fund his new professional army ?
