Resist the temptation to compare. IMO, any attempt to compare any european mythology, mainly the (Irish mythology) with the other European ones beyond the surface level is doomed to fail.
Accept and appreciate it for what it is, a sui generis, a scattered collection of oral myths. No "comparative" BS

Honestly, leave Ireland out of your often unacademic comparisons, sometimes with a strange obsession with linking it to India.

You also have the habit of 'Irishising' the Celts by retroactively applying medieval Irish phenomena to the Iron age Continental Celts or to Wales; etc.. Touting the well-attested (in Ireland) Fianna as a global Celtic or "Indo-European" foundation is misleading, at best.

I agree, OP. I have a degree in literature, so I've read everything, from greekbepics to the Edda, and honestly? It's much more logical to assume that they are different myths with little or no relation to each other. These Indo-European studies have destroyed all the magic of reading mythology for its own sake.

Much of this is due to these retarded linguists.

I agree with this, obviously the IEs were a genetic phenomenon but trying to reconstruct a proto-religion, proto-language, proto-culture from these people by comparing those of their descendants is a dumb waste of time because it's not going to be accurate in the slightest and it's also not really interesting.

PIE is one of the most well established ideas in all of linguistics.

You're talking in a bait thread by Indians or Brazilians with samefagging. The posters they want aren't showing up. Let them cook.

I m irish retard
I have no problem with linguistic or genetic reconstruction; my problem is comparing myths.

The vast majority of people in Ireland use the UK/Ireland (ISO) keyboard but you most likely do not for some reason. Oddly enough, the text of your post is typical of a Brazilian keyboard.

I use ANSI, you retard
Btw ISO is common in Europe and sigh... in South America, nice argument, you fucking retard.

Celtic myths seem similar to North Caucasian (Sarmatian) ones (tree worship, trisquels, warrior tales, lakes, etc)

Lolwut? 20-40% of their ancestry is Sarmatian
