>never debunked
>a costume like it couldn't have been made in the 1960s and has never been replicated even by modern means
>gait and proportions impossible to do by human in suit

So Bigfoot is real then? Why can't science debunk this?
>>
>>18291018
Apes don't have giant hairy tits.

but it was
>a costume like it couldn't have been made in the 1960s
says who, that and you are falling for a trick where by shooting it further away in perfections in the design are much harder to notice, this is an extremely common trick in just about any movie, tv show, and video game
>gait and proportions impossible to do by a human in a suit
not at all
>>
>>18291038
>but it was
By whomst? Do you have proof it was debunked? (Keep in mind some pseuds opinion is not a debunking)
>>

It's an impressive fake, no doubt. The highest quality one ever made for Sasquatch, imo. Actually would freak me out when I would see it as a kid on shows like In Search Of with Leonard Nimoy or those old History Channel or Discovery Channel docs about Bigfoot. But it just can't be real. It can't be because there is no Sasquatch. We would have at least found a corpse or bones if they existed. We never have.

Sasquatch is speculated to be a female homo erectus or other early hominid like pic related.
>>
I wonder what they did with the costume. Probably destroyed it after so the ruse couldn't be revealed.
>>
>>18291117
If it was a costume it was never found and both men went to their grave insisting the video was genuine.

There’s no close up footage of the costume.

Bob Gimlin is still alive. I know that because he was on an expedition Bigfoot episode a few years ago.
>>
>>18291129
Ah yeah. I knew Patterson died in the 70s.

Bigfoot debunks itself.

walks EXACTLY like a human.

>a costume like it couldn't have been made in the 1960s
It literally came out the exact same year Planet of the Apes was being made?
>>
>>18291200
Its is light years about the shitty ape cosutmes in Planet of the Apes. Analysis of the film has unidentified muscles rippling in the calf and thighs among many other things that the loose fabric costumes in films like Planet of the Apes could never do. Also even if they could, that was a Hollywood film with a team of costume designers and makeup artists. This was two guys innawoods.
>>
>>18291175
How so?
>>
>>18291018
its fake, we don't walk like that and you can't catch us on video tape anyway

No its not.

>Analysis of the film has unidentified muscles rippling in the calf and thighs
So the muscles you clearly just identified as calf and thigh muscles can't possibly be identified?

>This was two guys innawoods.
You have no idea how many people actually helped them stage their hoax, though, you just know they played the face of the hoax in the media.

>> There is no unique definition of what constitutes a sufficient population for the continuation of a species, because whether a species survives will depend to some extent on random events.

>> In 1912, the Laysan duck had an effective population size of seven adults at most.

Well there you have it.
>>

I meant to type identified. They identified them as muscles
>>
>>18291200
Have you seen planet of the apes? The costumes look nothing at all like that.

>the Laysan duck

This required intervention by humans to bring the breeding population back up, obviously something that didn't happen with Bigfoot (which is a hoax).

If Bigfoot was real, there would be hundreds of them running around the Pacific Northwest breeding more Bigfoots and humans would have killed/captured individuals way back during the 1800s westward expansion into N.America.

I’m probably the only guy in this thread who has actually seen one

It’s reflective silver eyes still haunt me when I catch my dog walking around in the dark at a distance and he looks at me, that same slight shimmering reflectiveness I see in his

just not silver and is typically blue for my dog
They’re real
And I think they might just be aerosolized fungal hallucinations under the right conditions

Always the forest or woods
Where the fungus grows

(Picture of Sierras and not where I saw it)
I could go on with a full detailed report but it sounds like most reports that take place near highways at night

>>18291018
Nigger it doesn't matter how many claims you pile on top of this video. An animal of this size would have a massive ecological footprint. It would leave shit, makeshift dwellings, and leave a trail in the foliage. If an animal like this existed, we would find traces of it before we ever saw it in the flesh. Much smaller and stealthier species have already been driven to extinction.
>>18291129
I recall gimlin admitting it's bullshit but I haven't kept up with this since the 2000s.
>>18291883
It's a better costume than what million dollar Hollywood studio artists could do.

>> I recall gimlin admitting it's bullshit but I haven't kept up with this since the 2000s

You would be mistaken. I’m literally watching the Bob Gimlin interview on Expediton Bigfoot from 2022 right now, where he says it was real and he believes Bigfoot is still out there.

>It's a better costume than what million dollar Hollywood studio artists could do.
Most costumes in hollywood films are shot in ultra-HD 16k and not in grainy photographs from 75 yards away
>>

The circumstantial evidence is against it. The Patterson–Gimlin film was shot on October 20, 1967 AD at 41°26'25.0"N 123°42'07.0"W on Bluff Creek in Del Norte County, California. The location is remote, but not impossible to reach.

For thousands of years the land was inhabited by the Yurok and Hupa Native American tribes, both of whom still live in the region. The Yurok Blue Creek Ah Pah Traditional Village is about 12.5 miles away (straight line distance over broken terrain) to the west. Klamath, the largest town is about 18 miles away to the northwest. And the borders of the Hoopa Valley Reservation begin 18 miles directly south of the location. Both tribes have lived in the region continuously. When the US Army arrived at the location he simply drew the borders of their reservations around their settlements because it was so remote that they required zero movement to new locations. As far as I am aware neither tribe has made definitive statements about Bigfoot.

The location is within the Orleans Ranger District of Six Rivers National Forest and is accessible via logging roads. The site is public land owned by the United States Forest Service. So it is likely possible to visit the site with permission assuming no logging companies are already operating in the general vicinity.

> I’m probably the only guy in this thread who has actually seen one

I have never seen Bigfoot but when I was in middle school on a school field trip I saw a small UFO between ten to twelve inches across zip around a power line. I’d describe it as looking similar to ball lighting.
>>
>>18291996
Tell us the tale anon. And was it a bigfoot or a hallucination?
>>

My brother (who was a teenager when I was a little kid) was huge and he got this very realistic gorilla mask and would put it on and come into my bedroom at night when all the lights were off (illuminated only by my night light) and would crawl on his knees and hold himself up on his fists like a gorilla and snort and growl at me and I would freak the fuck out. Scream and cry and my parents would wake up and get mad. I knew it was him in a mask but it was still terrifying.
