Why did he try to invade all of Europe? What was his ideology? Was it all about himself? Did he even like liberty?

>Why did he try to invade all of Europe?
It's complicated. Napoleon was very ambicious, but the rest of continental powers wouldn't leave him alone either. At the begining it was more Napoleon defending himself from Europe hostilities, but later it was more Napoleon being the aggressor.
>What was his ideology?
I don't think he fought because of some ideology. He sided with one or other to gain personal power.
>Was it all about himself?
Yes.
>Did he even like liberty?
If it suited his agenda yes.

He believed in himself. Why don’t you? Why don’t I?
>>
He was a warmonger and he enjoyed war.
>>
I don't think he had time to form an ideology.

I guess he supported the revolution loosely because the meritocratic aspect of the new society benefited him and brought him many talented commanders and supporters, but when you have half of Europe declaring war on you every 5 seconds you can't really think about thing other than
>how can I ensure that France doesn't get fucked
>how can I ensure that I stay in power, so that France doesn't get fucked

I'd be interested if there were any books or journals that attempted to describe his actual political beliefs.

He did for the love of the game.

I’m sure there are but you could also just look at the shit he did as a peacetime First Consul both in France and their satellite vassals.
He was a republican. (But one where he is in charge and is emperor).

He believed that Jupiter annointed him as the New Caesar et Restitutor Orbis. That is why the House of Bonaparte has the Aetos Dios (Eagle of Jupiter) as its symbol.

Short, italian(black) froggy larper who took advantage of the opportunities of thr age he lived in. It was about himself, it was always about himself, any argument suggesting otherwise is foolish because it always comes right back to Napoleon Bonaparte being a sissy caged niglet with identity and image issues. He is the reason we live in squalor now. Say thanks!

He believed in the Law of Might, as all great conquerors do.
>>

He was an atheist liberal who had to use the power structure of his time - monarchy - to achieve his ambitions.

I don't held Napoleon in high regard, ultimately his conquests achieved nothing, had Louis XVI. accepted all the demands of the estates, the 19th century would've looked nearly identical to OTL, with few million more frenchmen that is.

Killing rosbifs
>Why did he try to invade all of Europe?
To kill rosbifs and their anglolems.
>What was his ideology?
TRD
>Was it all about himself?
Yes, it was about himself killing rosbifs.
>Did he even like liberty?
He liked the liberty and God given right to kill rosbifs.
