I don't even believe the god of the old testament is the same god all the way through. There is no reason from a literary standpoint to have Yahweh, when meeting Moses go "oh btw I was also the god of Abraham etc even though I never referred to myself by that name then lol" unless there was some confusion within the intended audience as to whether that was true.
