While Latin Christians (specifically Iberians and Italians) think their Holy Lands are located in sanctuaries where Jesus and the Virgin Mary manifested; and where the blessed and saints performed miracles and pious deeds.

Such as Rome, Compostela, Fatima, Lourdes, RocĂ­o, Zaragoza, Asis, Turin, Loreto, Manresa, Montserrat, Cluny, etc.

For the Germanic Christian the only Holy Land is the land of Israel. There is not sanctity outside of Levant. The remember of the Crusades indelibly marked the land of Israel as the holy place par excellence, which they dispute with the Muslims.
