Roman emperors tended to change their name to a more epic sounding one when taking office, which is a cool af thing to do. Why don't presidents do that in current day?

Because presidents aren't emperors. You may have also noticed they typically don't dress extravagantly or make people bow before them.

if you believe this is cool, why don't you change your name?
>>
>>18294269
Because I'm not an emperor or any kind of public figure
>>

Maybe because in the past those emperors could take a new name and almost everybody knew them from that name because little people knew how to read. Nowadays it would be cringy because everybody will know that is not your real name.

The Bolsheviks did, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin are not their real names
