>Researchers have sequenced the first complete genome of a 2,500-year-old body discovered in Carthage,Tunisia and found the man had European heritage.

>Researchers from New Zealand's University of Otago believe the DNA of the man, who they call 'Young Man of Byrsa' or 'Archie', closely matches that of a particular modern day individual from Portugal.

A Nafri bull and a blond woman. Typical couple.

I'm not sure how this shakes up anything. Scholarly sources and archaeological sources were in agreement that Phoenicians weren't African in origin already, all DNA evidence does is confirm the existing consensus among actual historians. Afrocentrists on twitter are not serious people.

It's the other way around retard. It's the portuguese whose dna is similar to the brown carthaginian man.
how the fuck can you claim that a genealogically older group descended from a genealogically newer one? this makes no sense.

mm. is this the process - find one of something, extrapolate to millions? interesting

This is retarded. There's nothing rare or novel about EEF in North Africa. R1b-V88, originally from Balkan foragers was mediated into North Africa by EEF and spread from there to Chad. Granted, that was about 4500 years before this guy lived but that's neither here nor there for an equally old mtdna lineage.

10 year old article passed as novel by /his/torians with zero knowledge on haploautism
