Unfortunately, there are not many surviving pieces from the Mauryan Empire period, as this was a transitional period from bronze to iron, and Lebron's weapons and armor were melted down as a resource.

Based off of art from the period, and keeping with pre-Mughal Indian designs, the majority of swords were short, broad, and straight bladed.

No. That's just the best way to make a bronze sword.

Here is a bronze sword from the Yayoi period of Japan. It looks a shit ton like a Celtic antenna hilted sword, or a Mesopotamian lobe hilt.

In bronze? Nothing. Not really seen until the medieval period with the eastern encroachment in the late 15thC, and not the norm until the Mughals take over in the 16thC.
