He liberated the oppressed peoples of the world by bankrupting the evil British Empire. I wish all Americans were as great as him
>In 1928, Hitler once said he want alliance with Great Britain.Blunder in European history.
>>18328149FDR was the greatest Soviet statesman ever
the worst president in the USA's history followed by Obama
>>18328149>enters the Yalta conference literally dying and half delirious>abandons Poland>bullies churchill and sucks up to "Uncle Joe">capitulates to the Soviets in Europe just to nuke Japan anyways without even needing Soviet help arguably>dies two months laterBravo. Feddy WAP.
Oh cool another>This socialist retard is actually le hebin based!!1Thread
>>18328782It was Churchill who signed the Percentages agreement not FDR
>>18328794That didn't include Poland and Churchill managed to get Greece out of it at least. Big Fed just made ebic redditor joked about shooting 49000 German officers while ignoring Churchill pleading to help the London poles Churchill was at fault too but he at least tried compared to a literally dying president who LITERALLY brought Soviet spies with him to Yalta
>>18328797Why does Poland matter more than the rest of eastern europe?
>>18328877Churchill literally went to war in the first place to save the poles (at least on paper) so he cared a lot about restoring them with elections, also because they were exiled in London
>>18328896Ok but that still doesn't explain why he arbitrarily values Poland more than every country in eastern europe.Romania was also divided in the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and had been a Western ally at the time of the war's outbreak, but Churchill had no problem selling them to the Soviets in the Percentages Agreement
>>18328911>Ok but that still doesn't explain why he arbitrarily values Poland more than every country in eastern europe. Why not? He declared war over it's invasion. It was literally his casus beli. He didn't go to war over Romania, he went to war over Poland. It's arbitrary, yes, but it's an explanation.
>>18328918I don't disagree. At the end of the day it just comes down to cynical power politics, not any kind of principled stance
>>18328149Brotherly welcome to comrade Roosevelt.A noi!
>>18328918By the same logic you can't blame FDR for abandoning Poland then. His entrance in the war had nothing to do with the Poles, so he wasn't beholden to care about them any more than Churchill was to care about Romania
>>18328918>Why not?that's not an answer, anon. the fate of an entire nation can't just be "why not"
>>18328930I do agree there. I blame FDR for being literally dying and refusing to step down by then and for all of the other retarded decisions that harmed American interests>>18328931Why not, as in, why wouldn't it be. Again, it was churchills hill to die on, one that he failed at, but it was his hill. Also the fate of many modern nations is basically "why not" but that's a different topic>>18328929Roosevelt and his staff actually modelled the new deal partly after Mussolini's corporatism. The truth is that most nations loved him until he invaded Ethiopia, seeing him as a strongman or whatever
When you read Churchill's writings it's obvious he only valued a handful of countries (France, Poland, and America) that he arbitrarily judged to be in line with his philosemitic sensibilities.FDR at least had a consistent worldview that big countries (America, USSR, and China) should fuck over small countries. He was overall a more impressive statesman than Churchill so it's not a surprise that his vision ended up winning out
probably not such a good idea, the bipoc world should have stayed in white european hands indefinitely
>>18328960idk, Churchill thought FDR was an intellectual lightweight
>>18328634very few people think this, everyone has nostalgia for his presidency and try to invoke the good times
>>18328149War monger who is responsible for the rise of communism in Asia and the deaths of millions of people
>>18328877The war started over Poland, and if we give this up then it means the Nazis were right and world jewry really did foment political strife and cause the war.
