Dean Corll murdered, tortured, and abused 29 young males in Houston, Texas in the early 1970s along with two teenage accomplices. Corll is not only considered one of the worst serial killers in American history, but he never faced justice for his actions. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Christmas Eve 1939 to Arnold and Mary Corll. Arnold was a strict disciplinarian while Mary was more loving towards her children. The Corlls did not get along and ended up divorcing when Dean was 6 years old. Arnold enlisted in the Army Air Corps (soon to become the Air Force) and Mary sold their house and moved to a trailer park in Memphis, Tennessee near where her ex-husband was stationed so the boys could remain in contact with him.Dean was a shy, somber child without many friends and also had a sensitive temperment and disliked being told no or when someone found fault with him. He came down with rheumatic fever at 7 but this was not diagnosed until three years later when a doctor found that he had an irregular heartbeat and advised him to avoid strenuous physical activity. Dean's parents reconciled when he was 10 and resettled in Pasadena, Texas but split up again in three years. Mary supported the children by working in unskilled menial labor. The boys continued to have contact with their father.
Mary then married to a traveling salesman named Jake West and moved with him to the town of Vidor, where she gave birth to Dean's half sister Joyce in 1955 and the family opened their own candy shop, initially out of their garage--supposedly this came about when another traveling salesman visited the Corlls' house and saw Mary baking desserts, so he asked why she didn't simply go into the confectionary business. Dean and his brother Stan worked hard at the candy business much of the time when they weren't in school; their stepfather sold the candy on his sales route, usually in Houston. In school, Dean was a satisfactory student who did not cause any trouble. He had no close friends, although he sometimes took girls on casual dates. He also played trombone in the school band.He graduated in 1958, after which the family moved to north Houston to be closer to their main sales area. They also opened a proper candy shop, called "Pecan Prince." In 1960, Mary convinced Dean to move to his grandmother's home in Yoder, Indiana as she had recently become widowed. He dated a local girl during this time but declined to marry her. Corll spent two years in Indiana before returning to Houston. The candy shop had since been moved to Houston Heights and he moved into his own apartment above the shop. Mary divorced Jake West in 1963 and they started a new venture called Corll Candy Co. Shortly afterwards, a teenage employee of the shop complained that Dean had sexually propositioned him. Mary called him a liar and fired him.
Corll was drafted into the Army in August 1964 and did his basic training in Fort Polk, Louisiana before being posted in Fort Benning, Georgia where he learned radio repair before getting a permanent post in Fort Hood, Texas. He performed his duties adequately and accumulated no disciplinary infractions, but had not wanted to be in the military and filed for a hardship discharge on the grounds that he had to help the family business. This request was granted and Corll was honorably discharged on June 11, 1965, after ten months in the Army. Supposedly it was during his military stint that he first realized he was gay and had homosexual encounters. He went home to Houston and the candy shop. By now Corll Candy Co. had to compete with Pecan Prince, now owned by his ex-stepfather, and Dean had to double his working hours to compete.By 1965, Corll Candy Co. moved to a bungalow on West 22nd Street across from an elementary school and Dean often gave children free candy, although he showed a preference to teenage boys. He was known to act flirtatious around teenage male employees at the shop. In 1967, Corll befriended David Brooks, 12, after giving him free candy, and the two often traveled to the Texas beaches with other youths. They gradually became sexually involved and by the time Brooks was 14, Corll would perform oral sex on him in exchange for gifts. Brooks's parents were divorced and his mother was living in distant Beaumont. Brooks dropped out of school at 15 and moved in with his mother, but he returned to Houston some months later and came to regard Corll's apartment as a second home. By this point, Mary Corll and Dean's half-sister Joyce had closed Corll Candy Co. and moved to Manitou Springs, Colorado to open a new candy shop. Mary never saw Dean again although until his death they often spoke on the telephone. He got a job as an electrician for Houston Lighting and Power Co. and ultimately became a supervisor.
Corll's killing spree began shortly after his 30th birthday in December 1969. All his victims were adolescent males, most between 15 and 17, mostly residents of low income Houston Heights, and he was usually helped by his accomplices David Brooks and Elmer Henley. Two victims were former employees of Corll Candy Co. They were usually lured into Corll's '67 Ford van or his '69 Plymouth GTX. He also bought David Brooks a used '69 Corvette in 1971. Victims were promised a party or a ride and brought to Corll's house, where they would be knocked out with alcohol or drugs, handcuffed, or taken by force. They were then stripped naked, tied to Corll's bed or a wooden torture board, and raped, beaten, and tortured for days before being strangled or shot with a .22 pistol. The bodies were wrapped in plastic and buried in four different spots around Houston, including a boat shed his family had owned.Sometimes he forced the victims to call or write their parents to assure them everything was ok. Corll often kept their house keys so he could burglarize their homes afterward. He moved around frequently, sometimes only staying in an apartment for a few weeks at a time, but until 1973 he stayed in Houston Heights, usually near public schools. The first victim Corll is known to have killed was 18 year old Jeff Konen on September 25, 1970. Konen disappeared while hitchhiking with a fellow UT student. They were picked up by another student near Bergstrom AFB and then dropped off alone on Westheimer Road and South Voss. Corll probably gave Konen a lift to his then-residence in Harold Turboff Apartments.
Brooks showed police to Konen's remains August 10, 1973, buried at High Island Beach. He had been gagged and manually strangled, then buried under a piece of cement, a layer of lime, wrapped in plastic, and tied up with a nylon cord. Not long after Konen was killed, Brooks caught Corll raping two teenage boys he tied to the bed. The latter said he'd buy him a car if he didn't tell anyone; this was the '69 Corvette he ended up purchasing for him. Corll later announced that the boys were dead and paid Brooks $200 to lure additional victims to the apartment. On December 13, 1970, Brooks lured James Glass and Danny Yates, both 14, from a religious rally in Houston Heights to Corll's new apartment at 3300 Yorktown. Brooks had been a casual acquaintance of Glass. Corll tied both boys to the bed, raped them, strangled them, and buried them in the boat shed.
On January 30, 1971, Brooks and Corll met Donald and Jerry Waldrop, brothers, on the street. They were lured to the apartment, raped, strangled, and buried in the boat shed. Three more boys were killed in March-May, Randell Harvey, David Hilligiest, and Greg Winkle, ages 15, 13, and 16, in Corll's new apartment on West 11th Street. On July 1, Donald Falcon, 17, was abducted near his parents' apartment on West University Place. Pieces of his body were found in the boat shed. On August 17, Corll and Brooks met 17 year old Ruben Haney walking home from a movie theater. They lured him to Corll's apartment, strangled, and buried him in the boat shed. Corll moved to an apartment on Columbia Street in September. He abducted two youths while living there; one apparently kept alive for four days but neither have ever been identified. In October, Brooks picked up Wayne Henley while he was skipping 9th grade classes and introduced him to Corll, who initially planned to kill him but finally decided he was trustworthy enough to be another accomplice and told Henley he could receive $200 for luring any teenage boys to his apartment.Henley did not initially take up Corll's offer although they remained friends. By the winter of 1972, he decided to accept because his family badly needed money. The first victim Henley helped lure was in early March when he was offered marijuana for hanging out at Corll's apartment. Henley witnessed Corll handcuff the boy before departing. He has never been identified. On March 24, the three picked up 18 year old Frank Aguirre outside a restaurant he worked at. Aguirre was taken to his apartment, smoked weed with the others, and Corll handcuffed him. Henley claimed he tried to talk him out of harming Aguirre but Corll said he'd already killed his previous victim and intended to do the same with this one. After Aguirre was dead, Henley, Brooks, and Corll buried him on High Island Beach.
On April 20, Henley helped abduct 17 year old Mark Scott, a youth that they knew well and whom Corll wanted revenge on for cheating him out of stolen property. Scott resisted his captors and even tried to stab Corll, but it was no use. The three shot him with a pellet gun after which he was raped, tortured, strangled, and buried on High Island Beach. In mid-June, they abducted Billy Baluch and Johnny Delome. The teens were both tied to Corll's bed, tortured and raped, and Henley manually strangled Baulch. He shot Delome in the head but the bullet exited behind the ear without contacting his brain. A still very alive and alert Delone pleaded for mercy before he was strangled. Both were buried on the beach and Corll vacated the apartment on June 26.Also while Corll was living at Schuler Street they lured 19 year old Bill Ridinger to the house. He was tied to hooks and then the plywood board before being tortured for three days. Brooks talked Corll into releasing Ridinger. Corll also raped Brooks himself on the plywood board after Henley punched him and knocked him out once. He then moved to an apartment at Westcott Towers and killed two additional victims that summer. Seventeen year old Steve Sickman left a party on July 19 and was brutally beaten in the chest, strangled, and buried in the boat shed. On August 21, Roy Bunton, 19, was kidnapped while walking to his job at a shoe store. He was bound and gagged, shot in the head, and buried in the boat shed. On October 3, Henley and Brooks lured two Heights teens, Wally Simoneaux and Dick Hembree, to Corll's Westcott Towers apartment. Simoneaux tried to call his mother from the apartment before the phone was hung up abruptly. Hembree was shot in the mouth, both boys strangled and buried in the boat shed.

Corll's killing spree resumed in June and became increasingly violent and sadistic. He would signal that he needed a new victim by smoking cigarettes and looking visibly agitated. On June 4, Corll and Henley abducted 15 year old William Lawrence from 31st Street. He was raped and tortured for three days before being strangled and buried at Lake Sam Rayburn. Henley took significant amounts of drugs to get himself into a stupor as the abuse of Lawrence was hard for him to watch. He recalled that he barely even knew what half the substances he was taking did, but he didn't care. Around June 15, they abducted 20 year old Raymond Blackburn, strangled him, and buried him at Lake Sam Rayburn. On July 6, Henley was attending classes at Coaches Driving School where he met 15 year old Homer Garcia. Garcia ended up shot and bleeding to death in Corll's bathtub before being buried at the lake. On the 12th, John Sellars, 17, was shot and buried at High Island Beach.Brooks meanwhile had gotten married to his pregnant girlfriend so for the time being Corll only had Henley for a helper. From July 19-25, he helped abduct and murder three boys from the Heights. One was Michael Baulch, the brother of previous victim Billy Baulch. He was strangled and buried at the lake. Charles Cobble and Marty Jones were abducted on the 25th and Henley buried their bodies in the boat shed. Corll's final victim was James Dreymala, 13, of South Houston. On August 3, he was picked up by Corll while riding his bike and told he had empty glass bottles to resell. Brooks brought Dreymala a pizza before Corll tied him up, raped, tortured, and strangled him with a cord before being buried in the boat shed.
On August 8, Henley invited Tim Kerley, 20, to a party at Corll's home in Pasadena. Kerley accepted and Brooks was not then present. They got drunk and high at the house before departing and stopping near Henley's home. The latter could hear a commotion coming from the home of his friend, Rhonda Williams, 15. Williams had been beaten by her alcoholic father and vowed to run away from home. Henley invited her to come with and she accepted. They drove to Corll's house. Henley also later claimed Kerley was not meant to be a victim for Corll and he just wanted to hang out with him. When they got to the house, Corll was infuriated at Rhonda Williams's presence. He asked why Henley had brought a girl over and yelled that he ruined all his plans. Henley said Rhonda had a fight with her father and needed some place to stay for the night. Corll calmed down and offered them beer and weed. All three eventually passed out.Henley awoke to find himself on his stomach as Corll put handcuffs on him. His mouth was taped shut and his ankles bound. Kerley and Williams were also bound and gagged; the former's clothes had been removed. Corll removed Henley's gag. The latter protested as Corll ranted that he'd ruined everything by bringing a girl over and all three of them had to die once he'd finished raping and abusing Kerley. He kicked Williams and yelled at her to get up. Corll took Henley to the kitchen and threatened him with a gun, but the latter finally agreed to help him kill the other two. Corll untied Henley and carried the others to his torture board. He took out a portable radio and turned the volume up high to muffle their screams.
Corll gave Henley a knife and told him that he would rape and kill Kerley and the latter Williams. Henley began cutting off her pants and underwear as Corll sat his gun on the table, removed his clothes, and began to assault Kerley. The latter awoke by now and begged for mercy. Williams also awoke and yelled "Is this for real!?" Henley nodded and she replied "Are you gonna do anything about it!?"Henley tried to fortify himself by inhaling paint fumes and asked Corll if he might take Williams into another room but he got no response. Instead, he grabbed the .22 pistol from the table and yelled "You've gone too far, Dean. I can't go on any longer. I can't have you kill all my friends!" Corll mockingly replied "Kill me, Wayne." Henley hesitated as he continued to taunt him, saying "You won't do it." He fired a single shot, but the small caliber round just deflected off Corll's head. Henley shot two more times, hitting him in the left shoulder. The bullet cut through his lung and struck his spine. Corll turned and began to run out of the room coughing blood. He tripped over a phone cord before Henley shot him in the back three more times, killing him.Kerley thanked Henley for saving him. The three teens got dressed and debated what to do next. Kerley finally suggested they should call police, so they got out a phone book and looked up the number for the Pasadena Police Department (there were no 911 calls in 1973). Henley announced that he'd just shot a man and gave the address. The responding officer found Henley, Williams, and Kerley standing outside, the .22 pistol placed on the sidewalk in front of them. Henley identified himself and said the dead man was inside the house. The officer collected the pistol and put the teens in his patrol car. He went in the house and found Corll's body there.
Questioned by detectives, Henley said he shot Corll out of self-defense. Kerley and Williams corroborated his statement and he sounded generally believable. Henley then continued and said that for three years he had helped Corll procure teenage boy victims to be raped and killed. Corll had originally implied that he was running a sex trafficking operation to procure boys for homosexual clients in the Houston area (the term "sex trafficking" was not yet in use in the '70s and Corll had used the older term "white slavery") but Henley later found that he was keeping them for his own use. He admitted to helping lure several victims and participating in their torture and mutilation. Corll also paid Henley $200 per victim, but only the first one and the latter received no money for any later ones.Police initially thought Henley's story was too unbelievable and just assumed he killed Corll in a drug-fueled fight, but Henley persisted and even named three victims who were known to the HPD as reported missing. The floor of the room where the teens were tied up was covered in plastic sheeting to collect any blood or other body fluids. Also there was the plywood torture board with handcuffs and ropes, a hunting knife, rolls of clear plastic, a portable radio, an electric motor with loose wires, more pairs of handcuffs, several dildos, thin glass tubes, and lengths of rope. Inside Corll's Ford van was rope, a piece of muddy beige rug, and a wooden crate with air holes drilled in it. Several rings and hooks were attached to the walls of the van. Another crate with air holes was found in the backyard which contained some human hairs.
Henley showed police to the boat shed. They found a stolen Camaro, its interior stripped, a child's bicycle, a metal drum, water containers, bags of lime, shovels, a broken rake, and a bag full of teenagers' clothing. Digging in the ground discovered the remains of a blonde boy laying on his side, wrapped in plastic and buried beneath a layer of lime. More bodies were found in various stages of decomposition, usually wrapped in plastic. Some were shot, others strangled, the ligatures tied around their neck. All victims were anally sodomized and most tortured in various ways; pubes yanked out, genitals bitten, objects inserted in their rectums, and glass rods inserted in their urethras and crushed. Their mouths had rags stuffed in them and their faces covered with tape to muffle their screams. One victim's mouth was wide open, suggesting he died screaming.Brooks and his father went to HPD headquarters where he said he did not partipate in the murders or know about them, but was aware that Corll killed two teens three years ago and knew that two, Ruben Haney and Mark Scott, had been with him before disappearing. The next day, Henley formally admitted that he had personally killed nine boys and helped Corll strangle two others. Only the last three murders in summer '73 had not involved Brooks. He showed police to Lake Sam Rayburn where they found two bodies and more torture and burial gear. Nine more bodies were found in the boat shed on August 9, with four arm bones not belonging to any of these victims also found. These bodies were all severely decomposed and one had had his penis amputated and placed in a plastic bag nex to the body. Two had ID cards identifying them as Don and Jerry Waldrop.
Brooks admitted to being present for several murders and helped bury the bodies but said he did not help kill anyone. He said he saw Corll kill enough boys that it didn't really faze him at all. On August 10 they visited Lake Sam Rayburn and exhumed two more bodies, both brutally beaten and tortured. Another two were uncovered on High Island Beach and four additional ones on the 13th, making for 27 total victims. Henley also said two more were inside the boat shed, and they were found there. Corll had set a record of the most prolific serial killer in American history to date, beating the 25 men killed by Juan Corona two years earlier; his record was surpassed in 1978 by John Wayne Gacy who killed 33 young males and admitted to being inspired by reading about Corll's crimes. The families of the dead complained that the HPD had listed the missing boys as runaways and failed to connect the dots when so many teenagers disappeared from Houston Heights in such a short amount of time, and even ignored their protests that many of the victims had no reason to run away. Everett Waldrop, Don and Jerry's father, said a friend claimed to have seen Corll burying bodies around the boat shed. Police checked out the area but decided it was nonsense. Once he went down to the police station only to be told his sons were just runaways. Wihin nine months, most of the victims were identified with most being from Houston Heights. Two others were identified in the 1980s as Richard Kepner and Willard Branch.
On August 14, Henley was indicted for three counts of murder and Brooks one. The former was not charged in Corll's death as that was considered self-defense. Ultimately they were charged with six and four counts of murder. They were tried separately and on July 15, 1974 the prosecution and defense rested their cases. The death penalty was not possible as the Supreme Court had suspended capital punishment in the United States since Furman v. Georgia two years ago and DA Carol Vance said he was sorry about that and believed it was "truly deserved" in this case, which he called "the most extreme example of man's inhumanity to man I have ever heard." The jury found Henley guilty on all counts and he was sentenced to life in prison. He appealed his conviction on procedural errors and a re-trial was granted. His re-trial took place in June 1979 and again saw him sentenced to life in prison.Brooks was tried in a one week trial in February-March 1975; the defense argued that there was no evidence he had killed any victims himself. After 90 minutes of deliberation, the jury sentenced him to life in prison. He appealed on the grounds that he had never been read his Miranda rights when he wrote his confession, but the appeal was dismissed.
Several victims unidentified in 1973-74 were identified in the 21st century through DNA testing. Mark Scott's remains have never been identified; one victim was thought to be him but Henley said he wasn't buried the way Scott had been buried and this body eventually proved to be that of Mark Sickman. Another victim found in the boat shed is still unidentified but may be Bobby French. Although Corll's official kill count is 29 victims, a total of 42 boys vanished from Houston Heights between 1970-73 and no attempt was made to find more bodies once they'd unearthed 27. A piece of cranium was found in 2014 with the arm bones of Don Falcon. This bone was from a prepubescent boy, age about 9-10. Brooks thought Corll's youngest victim was about 9 and the son of a grocer. There was a report from 1972 of a missing boy named Albright, but all the remains found in '73 were of victims older than him. There is evidence that Corll could have started killing well before 1970. Former employees of Corll Candy Co. claimed to have seen him burying something in the ground and covering it with cement, which he claimed was spoiled candy and he was seen to dig in waste ground that was later turned into a parking lot. Brooks claimed his first victim was a boy he killed in the fall of 1968. There are also gaps during which Corll is not known to have killed anyone. In March 1973, a middle aged couple reported seeing Corll, Henley, and Brooks burying a wrapped object at Galveston Beach. Henley walked towards them with a menacing stare so they turned around and drove off. Two women also saw them digging on the beach in May, but police did not take their claim seriously.
In February 1975, the HPD accidentally found a collection of underage pornography of boys from Houston Heights while doing a drug bust, some of whom were Corll's victims. Others were alive and well when police questioned them about the material. Five men were arrested in Santa Clara, California, including the owner of the warehouse with the porn stash, Roy Ames, a known child porn producer whose name was found on a card in Corll's wallet, but no direct link to him was established. On August 15, 1973, Dallas police also found a nationwide sex trafficking ring run by John Norman. They seized a card filing system with the names of 10,000 persons across the US ascribed to this network and the personal details of numerous trafficked teenage boys. Brooks and Henley said they'd never met anyone from this organization, but the former claimed in 2007 that he knew Corll was involved with an outfit that drugged boys in California and used them to produce pornography. Brooks added that Corll told him his first murder victims were buried in California. As of 2025, Elmer Henley continues to serve his sentence in Mark Stiles Unit in Jefferson County, Texas. His parole applications, most recently in November 2025, have all been rejected. David Brooks served his sentence until passing away of COVID-19 complications on May 28, 2020.

>>18341018>that thick-ass Southern lawn grassShit's like Astroturf it's not nice to walk on or anything like nice, soft northern state grass.
Corll much like Gacy later on was part of a larger homosexual pedophile network abducting and trafficking young boys.
>>18341084they could get away with it as well because the Mann Act didn't apply to boys
>>18341084John Norman and Phillip Paske are linked to both, which is interesting.
it's hard to really get into DC's head and understand what made him tick since he was killed and never got to be interviewed by any police or psychiatrists. there's a lot about him that may not be known. he didn't start killing (that anyone knows of anyway) until he was 30 years old. something prior to that happened but what it is we don't really know.
>>18341097the fact that he was gay made the case also not as interesting/sexy to the media and any boys who hung out with him were unwilling to come forward because they didn't want to be accused of being gay especially not in macho he-man 70s Texas.
>>18341097I don't think he's _that_ much of a mystery; Henley and Brooks understood his personality and methods extremely well. In fact some witnesses did try to come forward but the idiot Barney Fife cops in the HPD didn't take them seriously (Henley just felt guilty and Brooks was a retard and didn't know the full extent of what he did)
There is reason to believe Corll began killing as early as 1967.
>>18341103the cops were idiots and one reason they didn't investigate the boys' disappearances is that most were from lower class white trash backgrounds and i guess their lives didn't matter or anything. had they been from a wealthy section of town you can bet more would have been done.
Houston sucks ass, what do you want? Typical Southern good ol' boy mentality there and the cops were all 85 IQ idiots who got hired because they played high school football and had no intelligence to be able to investigate or piece together crimes. The fact that they were doing digs for Corll victims in the 21st century makes it all the more ridiculous. Plus factor in that he was gay and they _really_ did not want to deal with this shit especially not in the ultra-conservative South where they preferred to pretend gays just didn't exist.
>>18341084Some of the clients he was procuring boys for could have also been rich, connected people.
>>18341121idk about that. there's no real evidence that he was trafficking boys and appears to have simply killed all his victims.
it's quite likely that Corll and Gacy were involved in the same underground CP/sex trafficking business that was huge in the 70s and mostly homosexual. there were few laws against it back then (the Mann Act as mentioned before didn't cover boys). the amount of extreme shit that boomers did would make your eyeballs bulge out of your head.
>>18341104Officially he started killing just after his 30th birthday. While it's a little late/unusual for a serial killer to start at 30, it's not unheard of. However he could well have began a few years earlier when he told his mother he was burying "spoiled" candy out back. I could believe Mary West was living in some considerable extreme denial about her son.
even as a kid dude had an unnerving look about him. btw his brother Stan is still around; lives in Colorado and has refused all requests for interviews.
I had a friend who was a correctional officer in Texas and he met Wayne Henley in prison. He was such a quite, soft-spoken guy that you'd never for a second imagine he'd be involved with any crime like this.
>>18341123Henley and Brooks wanted out and had been planning to off Corll for a while but couldn't work up the courage to do it. Conversely Corll was himself starting to distrust them and had been considering getting out of Houston altogether and going to live with his mother in Colorado. He gave her instructions to not tell Henley where he was moving to and who knows? Maybe he'd have continued his killing spree up there.
Dean was a frustrated gay man who couldn't come out in redneck good' ol boy Texas so he took it out on his victims.

>>18341979>>18341123the 70s were the last days of the old frontier America and the modern neoliberal techbro world began with the 80s
>>18340983>On December 13, 1970, Brooks lured James Glass and Danny Yates, both 14, from a religious rally in Houston Heights to Corll's new apartment at 3300 Yorktown. Brooks had been a casual acquaintance of Glass. Corll tied both boys to the bed, raped them, strangled them, and buried them in the boat shed.religious rally you say? why didn't their sky buddy come down from his cloud and rescue them from this monster? oh wait he doesn't exist, how silly of me.
>>18340999the 911 system didn't come online until '78 iirc
The guy has some competition. Herb Baumeister out of Indiana. Documentary on streaming. 2nd most amount of human bones dug up by law enforcement since 9/11. Complete law enforcement fuck up, ignorance, redneck cops who preferred to just pretend gays didn't exist at all, etc.
The amount of macho redneck Texas fucks down here who wanted to just kind of sweep all this under the rug and not discuss it did _way_ worse harm to our community than if we had talked about all the factors that allowed Dean to kill 25 able bodied young men in our city.I say this as a lifelong Houstonian whose father nearly got picked up by Corll when he was a young teen.
Corll, Berdella, and Kraft are the most horrifying and disgusting serial killers of all. So were Bonin and Bittaker for that matter. Also not coincidentally all but one of these guys was gay.
>>18341013I don't think you can realize just how massively retarded the HPD were.
killing so many beautiful young lads is so fucking evil. I hope corll is burning eternally somewhere.
>>18341871The fact they were both known contacts of child pornographers?
>>18342730He got off way too easy. I'm glad Henley had a change of heart and shot him to free those two kids, but I also wish he'd been taken alive and subjected to the worst pain imaginable for his crimes.
>>18342751It was probably a relief for everyone that he was dead and didn't have to go to trial with this nightmare of a case. If he did, hopefully he would have been smart like Robert Berdella and just pled guilty to spare everyone that.
>>18342751>I'm glad Henley had a change of heart and shot him to free those two kidsIn fact Henley had been planning to break free of Corll for some time but it took a while before he could muster the courage to do it.
It's incredible what is allowed to happen under everyone's noses because they'd rather pretend unpleasant things don't exist. Gays? Not in our town! Prostitution rings? That sort of thing doesn't happen around here!
>>18342762there were still a lot of lingering 50s mentalities around in the 70s, like how people would hitchhike without thinking anything bad could happen and believed the world was like a postcard
Imagine how many gays there would be if all these serial killers who are gay weren't thinning their population
>>18343304Corll's victims weren't even gay like Baumeister or Eyler's, they were just normal teenage boys who were brutalized by a monster.
>>18341133It's obvious that his mother lived in some kind of considerable denial. She said nah Dean had a postcard 50s childhood even though of course his dad abandoned him and his mom was kind of a schizo.
>>18342773when i was a wee lad in the 80s, my parents would not let me out of their sight. Going to a friend's house was forbidden. guess like Corll changed society. kids would disappear all day, come home for supper.
>>18344758>come home for supper.Or as supper, thanks, Albert Fish.
Do you think they did something to him in military? A lot of those military circles has macho closet gay undertones and they are often among most influential ones
>>18340964This is the one where the cops just decided to stop looking for bodies after a certain point and called it all off. Odds are there were more out there, maybe even a lot.
>>18344960ever heard of William MacDonald? Australian serial killer who got ass-raped in the British army in WW2 and decided to get revenge by killing as many gay men as he could.
>>18342749Did the police look into it? I've heard of investigations into CSA that mysteriously were quashed or resulted in convictions but were forgotten by the public
>>18345309You might enjoy the Dutroux affair. Or the 'petit angel incident'.
>>18344960zogbots are demonic (more specifically archonic)
>>18344960The military is inherently gay.
>>18341994>tips fedora hat
>>18341116Kinda maybe? HPD is just as useless today as it was then so there's that, but it's not like cops considering missing teens as runaways wasn't the main response everywhere in the US for decades. Not just gays either. You see it in stories of missing girls well into the 80's too. If your teen was missing back then and you didn't have a body, ransom note, or, as you point out, were well connected politically, the cops said that they probably just ran away and would likely be back in a few days. The cops would then proceed to ignore everything about the case until slapped upside the head with something like DNA or a body.
