Which do you guys think is the right religion and as well how many gods do you think are there? For me personally I believe there is only one, I like the monotheistic concept. I don't believe a god like Jupiter would be all mighty but then he shares his power with other lesser gods. But I am not that confident that the one true god is like the christian one, where the devil does some mischievous actions and lures you out of gods magic love and power i find that its basically two gods.
>>18345948White identity christian trinitarianism
gnosticism partiallyall other religions will stop existing if you destroy their booksyou can recreate gnosticism by observing the natural world>the creator must be corrupt>npcs exist to harm the divine>this place is some kind of energy farm>becoming consciousness is how you escape
>>18345948Christianity as a whole (Trinitarian of course).I am particularly fond of Confessional Wesleyan and Baptist theology.
>>18345957That's just Neoplatonism. I like the mythology of Gnosticism but honestly Neoplatonic philosophy is more rigorous. That said I think it comes down to personal preference as to which one you identify with.
>>18346033NTA but from what I've read Neoplatonism has a positive view of the creator, and I haven't heard of it having the npc idea or the energy farm idea. My impression is that it's roughly a de-Judaized and happy-fied version of Gnosticism.
>Neoplatonism also had links with Gnosticism, which Plotinus rebuked in his ninth tractate of the second Enneads: "Against Those That Affirm The Creator of The Cosmos and The Cosmos Itself to Be Evil"
>>18345948None.
>>18345948Mormonism of course
>>18346088Yeah, again, the only thing different is the mythology. Plotinus wrote a treatise against the Gnostics but it probably would have been better for them to work together given how they were both later purged by the Orthodox Christians. Modern Gnostics and Neoplatonists shouldn't be so autistic about our differences this time around.
>>18345948Perennialism is true, all religions are partially true and partially false. Buddhism is the most true (Taoism may be as well), the Abrahamic religions are the most false. It is undeniably evident that a god that is all powerful, all loving and all knowing and that created the universe does not exist. In all likelihood nothing that comes close (such as lacking in one of his all- attributes) exists. The real truth about the universe is found in the experiences of the mystics (such as Robert Monroe). The universe has different layers with different laws of nature, which can be experienced through altered states of consciousness. The Gods are inhabitants of these upper spheres. It's likely that as Buddhism says, the uppermost spheres is where consciousness does not exist. It's like an ocean of unconsciousness. Those who seek God are low iq normies too ignorant and unable to understand the nuance of the universe in its layers.
>>18345948La Religion de l'Humanité>>18345957Gnosticism is not a religion. It's a loose classification for a group of poorly understood Christian sects (and I guess also Manichenaism, long regarded as a Christian sect) from the first centuries of our era. They did not agree on much and even the qualities they did share weren't uniform. The Valentinians didn't even think the Demiurge was evil per se, for example. That said Gnosticism is still a better name than the previous Manicheanism so things are getting better.
>>18346301There is no such thing as abrahamic and it is the most retarded grouping ever pushed by a mentally ill frenchman (LM) obsessed with deepthroating mohammedans. There are those who follow Yahweh, hence Yahwists (Jews and Christians), then a bunch of other shit, like hubalists/baalists.Also, there is hardly anything more offensive than being lumped in with mohammedanism.
>>18345948Dionysian Hellenic Polytheism Infinite manifestations of the Gods different aspectsI only think some gods and nature's are worth worshipping though.
>>18345948None?You dont have to follow a religion out of larp, religions are interesting relics but obviously cope mechanisms born out of trauma, they dont exist beyond men's brains
>>18345948None. I think God is unknowable and far beyond anything we can figure out. All we have are our feelings and limitations. That's what should guide us. Wisdom tells us how to best live amongst one another, and how we can all satisfy our needs and wants. There are higher beings and they probably look down on us, just as I look down on lower people.
>>18345948for the masses - atheismfor the elite - christianity without OT
>>18347273>he worships the material universe and/or himselfatheists are so sad, can't imagine myself being so pathetic.
None, but Taoism is closest.
The honest answer is we don't actually know what the true religion isI think the safest options are either Soft Atheism ("We shouldn't jump on a religion unless we have credible evidence for it") or Deism ("God is a nebulous metaphysical being that is responsible for order and life in the universe")
I think honestly it's liberalism. I don't think half the people who larp about fascism or communism would actually prefer to live under those ideologies. We don't like being ordered around, even if it's for the greater good. Even if we are ordered around anyway under so-called liberal governments, we at least benefit from some protections. You can take the police to court, your speech is at least somewhat protected still, etc.
>>18346340Why do you pseuds always say this? You can say that christians also don't consist of a religion as they also have very different practices.
>>18347282In reality it's more like>For the MassesChristianity/Judaism/Islam>For the EliteNontheistic religion, Christian Atheism/Jewish Atheism/Muslim Atheismhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_atheism etc etcThat's how I feel it's been historically. I genuinely believe most of the highest levels of the Catholic Church are just Christian Atheists
>>18347917The 'Gnostics' were nearly all Christian, iirc. Guess the Mandeans and Manicheans weren't.Also most current Christian sects share common heritage from Nicene Christianity, which is not the case with these. They had completely different versions of the scriptural cannons, God, Christology, Salvation, etc.
>>18347927>mostBut not all.
After a deep research on so many religions i think there is no right religion. Religion is made to control society. It's a harsh truth but it is true.
>>18345948>Which do you guys think is the right religion Christianity. However "the right religion" makes most people think of it as "the right answer". Instead, I think it's more useful to think of it as "the right tool".>how many gods do you think are there? No idea. But there is only one truly deserving of the title - the God.>where the devil does some mischievous actions and lures you out of gods magic love and power i find that its basically two gods. Not to pull a Peterson on you, but it depends on what you mean by god. If to you, gods are just powerful spiritual beings (which is a historically defensible usage) then yes, there are countless gods and even some humans or previously-human entities could be called that. But if the title god is reserved for the true owner, true master of all, then there is only one. And he saw it fit to tolerate sinners and the devil for as long as he does.>>18345957Half the gnostic cults we know of have a hefty mythology that exceeds Christianity in its dramatic complexity. You can recreate broad stroke gnostic sentiments from observing nature in particular ways, but then again, so you can with monotheistic sentiments.
>>18345953very true sirs
advaita. spinoza’s god if you don’t like that
>>18347928Basically no serious Nicene Christian will admit Mormons or JWs share a religion with him. In so far as they do they only share a useful category.
Radical Tantric Nordic Traditional Islamo-Catholicism for me personally
