Bailiffs and constables during this time were often scared to approach the jews or interact with them, as they were relatively powerful and high up the feudal hierarchy.The stories about them poisoning wells and torturing children is absolutely believable for that reason. And why it appears everywhere all across Europe. Modern criminal cartels and mafias do that horrendous behavior as a way of extorting money. It's shock tactics made to get people to fall in line. Goyim Christians had the church and local family connections preventing them from reaching that level of sadism, but the jews came in as an outside group.And it's especially ironic that this group of people have been able to rewrite their own history and sanitize it to such a degree.
