The reason why liberal/progressivist ideologies emerged from the West is because Western civilization is inherently flawed.For example, feminism emerged first from Europe and America because white western men were super oppressive towards their women. In fact, early feminists look to indigenous American and Ottoman societies for inspiration for emancipation because they treated women better. Why else did a culture that burnt witches, legalized marital rape, and overall stole women's opportunities and contributions was reacted with such backlash and order replacement? Other civil rights like LGBT and black rights emerged because western civilization was inherently racist and homophobic, especially compared to Islam that preached that only their faith is what makes them superior.Similar with economic and political ideologies like Marxism and other anti-establishment thinking. Western civilization is inherently catering to the elite while shunning the poor, whereas Islam and Buddhism always emphasized charity first.Other civilizations did not have reform policies or the Enlightenment, because what exactly did they need to reform? They knew how to bathe, how to treat others, and how to not oppress from the beginning. They were working fine for the people, until the globalists decided to push their ideologies to corrupt them.
