This is my sort of theory but I dont think it's really a theory but a reality.For immensely wealthy and powerful people, more so those those who were born into it and those who didnt "earn" it (ie not hardworking entrepreneurs etc), they view themselves as gods or godlike and legitimately do not believe the rules apply to them.As well it's also an elitist thing, e.g. like how one may indulge in caviar and champagne even though one may not necessarily enjoy those things more than a burger, these people fuck kids because they can, because they can get away with it, and because you cant (be it for moral, legal, accessibility reasons etc.).Sure many of them just enjoy fucking kids but I believe a lot of it boils down to "I can and others cant so I will do as much of it as I can."
