Why is it that atheists lack basic comprehension skills?
>>18358929Atheists are so retarded. Imagine being created by God and then acting like you came from nowhere.
a lifetime spent in an echo chamber
>>18358934I've never met an intelligent atheist in my life.
>>18358937I have, but clearly their intellect is darkened by their unbelief. They don't even need religion, but they need to anchor their lives to something higher.
I just don't think a magical floating rabbi raised the dead on behalf of an ancient semitic volcano god. I guess you guys will prove everyone else wrong on the day of judgement, any day now...
>>18359191Cool nobody believes in that either. Using loaded language to intensify the hit of your rhetoric against xyz belief system or position doesn't actually argue against said xyz belief system or position or adequately address the contents thereof.
>>18359222>its loaded language to point out things in the holy text of the most popular religion
>>18359252What Christian would ever say they believe in your caricature? Just say you have a problem with the possibility of miracles. It's really not that hard to say that without embodying the internet/reddit atheist stereotype as you're currently doing. Just say you have an axiomatic commitment to the uniformity of nature at any cost. But you just can't help yourself, can you fedora?
>>18359262>what christians would saythere is an entire group of bible literalist, one of whom stalks this board, and for most of their history they did outright believe this, it was only until recently it became somewhat official to say its just allegory simply because evidence against their claims become overwhelming, and again as stated before there are many that still believe that is what happened
>>18359268>there is an entire group of bible literalist, one of whom stalks this boardEven a Bible literalist wouldn't agree with your caricature. Literally nobody would. >and for most of their history they did outright believe this, it was only until recently it became somewhat official to say its just allegory simply because evidence against their claims become overwhelming,That's an extraordinarily simplistic and downright inaccurate claim on your part (https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05692b.htm). Just say you have no grasp on hermeneutics.
>>18359222>loaded languageJesus' followers called him 'rabbi'. Christians allege he walked on water and was carried up into heaven before his disciples, so he floated. Christianity started as an offshoot of Judaism, which began as a polytheistic caananite religion that worshiped Yahweh as one of many gods. Magical floating rabbi checks out.
>>18358929>Hutchinson has authored a book on the philosophy of science, arguing against scientism.[4][5] Hutchinson is a contributor to the BioLogos Foundation and has written and spoken on the relationship between science and religion, arguing that religious belief, and belief in Christianity in particular, can be perfectly reconciled with science.[6] He has spoken at the Veritas Forum on the topic of miracles, debating atheist philosophy professor Donald Hubin.[7][8] He has also argued against New Atheism.[9][10]Kek. The West isn't Atheist they are SECULAR Abrahamic Christing cult like pic rel they believe in their Gayreeco-Roman Jesus creator of the Universe they just good at dialectics and convincing people they are NOT Christing cult but Atheist. Once you understand it's these Indian-Eurofags who are keeping the Abrahamic Aryan Alien Cult alive you'd known the Jew are Arab goats fuckers didn't create the Cult initially at all.
>>18359408>Magical floating rabbi checks out.No it's a dismissive caricature with the intent to paint believers as naive. You just have a problem with miracles and are using intentionally loaded terms as a rhetoric. Ironically it's appeal to emotion. There's nothing illogical about Jesus being able to do miracles. You a priori reject miracles because you have an axiomatic commitment to the uniformity of nature.
>>18359408>Christianity started as an offshoot of Judaism, which began as a polytheistic caananite religion that worshiped Yahweh as one of many gods. That's incredibly reductionist on your part and also a really simplistic overview of the academic picture about the history of the development of Israelite religion. Plenty of Christians and Jews are fine with this picture and don't see it as posing much of a threat to their belief system since their belief system and the belief system of ancient Israel is only really relevant from a historical standpoint, not an ontological one. The Old Testament continually asserts throughout it that the Israelites were worshiping other gods and engaging in what it terms idolatry anyway, so it's not particularly surprising in the first place. On top of that most Jews and Christians are happy to understand the Bible as containing within it different genres and the like because it's quite literally a library. The only ones these facts pose a problem for are for individual groups within these religions that take a fundamentalist bend, otherwise most Christians are happy to take the Bible as a theological text, not a literal historical or scientific text.>then why don't Christians take the resurrection of Jesus allegorically?First of all there are plenty of allegorical elements to Jesus's resurrection, and by allegorical I specifically mean typological aspects which illuminate the intertextuality of the OT and NT.But also because it's long been understood that the resurrection belongs to an entirely different category than perhaps other stories in the Bible belong to. Some parts of the Bible contain myth, some parts contain history, some parts poetry, etc. There are plenty of educated Christians and Jews who have a well-balanced understanding of their faith. You're just spewing old "New Atheist" polemics that group all religious people into a stereotyped American fundamentalist or radical Islamist. Not how religion works buddy.
Internet atheists really like to engage in slimy bad faith rhetoric to emotionally sway people into viewing religion as naive. But it's just dishonest. You can easily do this with anything and internet fundamentalists have shown how you can do it in reverse as pic rel shows. It's dishonest, it's low bar, it runs contrary to the principle of charity, it assumes the worst and assumes your opponent is inherently irrational, and it's plain slop.
>>18359428>We wuz Atheists & our Seculars don't see religion, always remember Religion is for low iq poor people not High IQ rich people The world bought into their lies for 500 years while these eating flesh and drinking blood vampire cannibals were feeding.
>>18358929Why did Western Atheists spread Salafism in the 70s?

>>18358929There's nothing wrong with not following religion but Atheism is cringe as fuck.
>>18359675>The estimated cost to fully restore Notre-Dame Cathedral is around $180 million, with the French government contributing $50 million and private funding covering the remaining $130 million. As of now, approximately $740 million has already been spent on the restoration efforts since the 2019 fire. They are insufferable fags who believe Atheist is an Indian-Euro invention like Wisdom and spread it on other people when their own people aren't even Atheist, these fags wouldn't even exist without the nigger civil rights movement. Dare them to detroy a church to see how Atheist the West is like the Christing cult destroyed pagan temples, kek they would be burned like pagan witches if Christians get them first before the police.
>>18359757They deliberately undermine the UAP field that has more physical proof of Aliens than the Abrahamic fags combined proof of their prophets and Gods while they can't say shit about how the Abrahamic cult isn't considered speudo or conspiratorial by mainstream SECULAR Academia.
