The still hold the Bible to a source of divine inspiration but understand it was ultimately written by humans who aren't always reliable narrators, which is exactly why they have a Papacy to begin with, in order to clarify Biblical texts and doctrine though Catechism similar to how Rabbinic Jews needed to write the Talmud in an attempt to clarify the Old Testament
