I was circumcised on the eighth day, but I believe in Jesus Christ, so I am a Christian. Jesus Christ was circumcised on the eighth day, but He is the Son of God, which means He is above earthly rites. Paul 5:2 is a liar and a Jew.
>>
>Galatians 5:2-4: "Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace."

But wait, there's more!
>>
>>18360794
>that he is obligated to keep the whole law
He says this as if there was something wrong with it.

What’s wrong with it is there’s only one place you’re going if you’re under the law.

Where in the Tanakh does it say that?

>Paul is lying because of one verse I horribly misinterpreted.
Let's look at the verse you're talking about, >>18360794 did us the favor of posting it.
>Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision,
>accept
An eight-day old can't accept or reject anything but a nipple. Your circumcision wasn't your choice.

Let's also look at the context. Paul is speaking to a church which has fallen victim to the oldest heretics in Christianity, Judaizers. They teach that Jews are special snowflakes and to really be a Christian you have to follow all the Jewish customs. That isn't true in any way, shape, or form. One does not have to be circumcised to be a Christian, nor do they have to avoid pork or anything else the Jews claim. One need only to truly, reverently, put their faith in Christ to be saved.

All this to say that Paul isn't saying, "If you've been circumcised you're cut off from Christ", he's saying, "If you think you need to get circumcised for Christ to love you, you've missed the whole point and you don't have Him in your heart."

You opened Pandora's box by saying that the 10 commandments are enough for a Christian.
>>
>>18360809
Is that what Jesus said?
>>
>>18360845
>They teach that Jews are special snowflakes and to really be a Christian you have to follow all the Jewish customs.
This is literally what Jesus teaches in the Gospels.

I'm not a Christian (anymore) but here's how the verse should be understood. Paul's letters are advising the early church and some people went too far in Judaising Christianity. There were probably people teaching that you need to go and get circumcised to be a real Christian. This is what he's responding to. He's telling the followers to not just go and become Jews.

Hell isn't real. It's a demonic catholic invention to scare people in the middle ages to give them money.

>Matthew 25:46
Who are the righteous? Those who obey the law.
Matthew 5:18-20

For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

>Deuteronomy 27:26
That doesn't say what you claimed tho.

Everything written in the New Testament is true, people themselves say so a thousand times, and then try to wriggle out of it to avoid going to hell.
>>
>>18360977
Not because they obey the law, but they obey the law because they are righteous.
>>
>>18361026
Even if you do not keep the law, Jesus can make an exception if you are a true Christian, but he can leave you in hell if your faith in Jesus Christ is only due to the fear of hell.
>>
>>18361100
I told you about Mel Gibson's new film.
This is not in the Bible.
>>
>>18361100
If a wicked man starts obeying the law he becomes Righteous because he is no longer doing the wickedness that the law condemns and is now doing the righteousness that the law commands.

Being righteous is doing what is right, the law is what is right.

What does being a true christian mean?
>>
>>18361100
Deuteronomy 6:25
And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.”
>>

Enter into superposition and keep the new covenant, so that you can be both circumcised and uncircumcised.
>>

Is this bait?

Philippians 3 (Paul speaking)
>If anyone else has reason to be confident in the flesh, I have more: circumcised on the eighth day, a member of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew born of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless. Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ.

Clearly Paul can't mean that being circumcised as a baby permanently cuts you off from Christ, otherwise he would be cut off from Christ.
>>
>>18361154
>as to righteousness under the law, blameless.
He himself admits that he was a proud man, so much so that God sent a demon to humble him, so I doubt this.
>>
>>18361154
As Protestants and Jehovah taught me, what's important is what's written in the New Testament, not your interpretations.
