On what basis are you able to reject the validity of the thousands of religions which you have never studied or made serious enquiries into? What makes you so certain that the religion you were born and raised in is correct? Doesn't that seem extremely naive to you?
They are different from mine, therefore they are evil? Are you stupid?
>>18364536This was my problem as a teenager so I spent the last 20 years studying Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. The only conclusion is that a nondual divine is real and manifests as an impersonal form and infinite personal forms. Humans are the closest existing thing to this divine absolute Good. There is a supreme unity of all things, all the evil and suffering is mere illusion and if there is one thing to remember forever, it's that everything will be okay. The only thing that causes spiritual progress or salvation is a desire towards it, which only comes by the grace of the divine.
>>18364536I don't envy any other religion, they envy mine
>>18364540>suffering is mere illusionIf I snapped your femur in half would that be an illusion?
>>18364545Yes. It's temporary. All it temporary. Your arrogant and shortsighted ego is temporary. Anything you feel is temporary. Everything you thought you were will wither away into oblivion because the only eternal thing is God. Don't be a dumbass.
>>18364536Here is my boilerplate answer to ALL religions All gods are mythologiesAll holy books are fictionalPolitics is TreacheryReligion is Brainwashing
>>18364561Can you prove that all of those claims are true?
>>18364536The fear of The Almighty is the true religion. Those who hate evil and do good are the ones who serve God.
>>18364536Yeah why are atheists like that?
>>18364622Most atheists aren't blindly sticking with the ideology they were raised within tho
>>18364634They did, they just learned it in school and tv instead of a church.
>>18364649TV and schools indoctrinate children to be atheists? Any proof? Or are you suggesting basic scientific literacy is enough to debunk Christianity?
>>18364536Every religion I'm aware of makes you wait to find out whether it's actually true until you're too dead to tell anyone it isn't. None of them have a god who can actually do anything.
>>18364699Worship the Sun then. It's real, you can see and feel it, it grants you life, light, warmth.
>>18364653Science is sorcery, it has been practiced since the beginning of time, there's nothing new under the sun.
>>18364536I don't know if god exists but if he does I will ask for my foreskin back when I see him
Pictured is an electromagnetic measurements device, it's one of the many devices used to try and find a Ghost. Or other paranormal stuff. This is reasonable, it's based on the idea (observed) that these devices would detect the minute changes in such activity as experienced by paranormal investigators. Cont.
>>18364826Forgot the pic. Now now, a book has info, but without solid evidence based on experience, it's not valuable. This is what you purport.
>>18364828Case in point: thermal cameras, just another device used for paranormal research. If you're looking for electric heat, testing a home for repairs, or looking for hot or cold paranormal spots, it's irrelevant, data is data, and you can work with that. Christians don't have, neither do other religions, this approach.
>>18364831So, take for instance this book, now, I'm not saying witchcraft isn't real, or a larp, I'm saying however, that without a repeatable testable method, you may aswell write rpgs instead of religious literature.
>>18364832Because, with care, you can test out this stuff. Take for instance Peter J Carroll. He's a man with scientific thought and credentials, and he's also a prolific writer on chaos magick. He even has a course ongoing, taking an academic approach to learning. So, obviously, if this approach is feasible, which it is, there's no reason to take things on Faith. Exhibit 1: Chaos Magick itself, you can perform excercises delineated on 12 to 25 monies approx, and you'll eventually come to a conclussion. Wether it's agreed upon or not, you did your homework. Religion doesnt allow for that.
>>18364839Then there's exhibit 2.Using tech to try and find a paranormal event. Be it a cam or some manner of detector, it's also a feasible way of testing matters.
>>18364841What we cannot do, however, is pick a random book and pretend it's real because we say so, this is a bad idea for two reasons, the main one being false positives coupled with self fullfilling autoprophecy. This leads to a variety of hilarant situations, and if you were on my shoes, youd be having unpleasant memories right now, of you switching religions, and reality acting as if all if them were kinda real in a kinda troll way that turns them all sour and fake. (This is a feature of chaos magick, btw). So, if I burst in hysteria and start talking about King Arthur being a Prophecy of things to come, related to Starships and the eternal space war against the space enemies of space britain, youd take me for a loonie, but if I develop faith, and practice with the correct spiritual technique, bloody well I will see the arthurian starships in schizo visions (I have tested this hypothesis on myself, and it worked).Don't, thus, believe, just test.

>>18364614What is "good"?. People followed the pharisees thinking they were doing good and worshipping their god only to be serving false idols. Muslims say that it is good to have preteen wives even if youre 50 years old, do you agree?. Jews love usury, for their god is money and getting more of God is good. The logos is discernment
