>he isn’t escaping Samsara
>he’s going to reborn as a bug 10,000 more times before even considering enlightenment
>he won’t even consider following the noble eightfold path until he gets flayed alive for 10 million years first

Eternity within what a human comprehends seems nonsensical. The death must be different from life, following its own rules

>>he isn’t escaping Samsara
I'm not a death cultist and don't crave my own annihilation.

Yes yes, there a “you” who exists, there’s a “death” with which you need to fear, “annihilation” is something to fear and “peace” is impossible, keep struggling in the Samaric realms
>>
So far every moment of my existence has been pure physical and mental pain and torture on a level 99.99% of people will never comprehend all because of medical problems I have that can't be treated effectively or cured.
Escaping suffering is good and all, I truly get that. But I want at least one life I can say was good first, this sure isn't it. Maybe then I can be fine with going to a Pure Land or something.

That sucks man, I have sympathy for you. Enlightenment is not a race so take your time. We quite literally are all eventually going to make it out of here

Nirvana isn’t annihilation, its complete stillness and peace. You escape the cycles of death and rebirth and see the wheel from above, completely content.

I am leaving Buddhism

That’s fine, some people need to suffer in Naraka first before being reborn in a better position to obtain enlightenment. Take all the lives you need and suffer as much as you desire
