I have learned the following from /pol/ and /his/ about American history
>there was harmony between blacks and whites in the South, characterized by "gentile southern hospitality."
>the South was a predominantly white, Protestant nation that simply wanted to be left alone.
>the civil war was not about slavery but about the North's corrupt federal government trying to subjugate the South, which had a legal right to secede
>Jews dominated and controlled the Atlantic slave trade, owned the ships, and acted as agents
>Blacks and Native Americans Fought for the South
>Reconstruction was not a period of healing but a deliberate effort by the North to destroy the South.
>The government sent black Union soldiers and immigrants to loot, burn, and terrorize Southern whites.
>black state legislators in South Carolina were illiterate, drunken, and corrupt, running up massive debts and engaging in graft
>The KKK is was a vigilante force that protected , black, tribals and white Southerners from lawlessness when the official government (controlled by the North) failed to do so.
>many violent acts attributed to the KKK (whippings, lynchings) were actually committed by government agents or Northern soldiers dressed in Klan robes to discredit the organization and justify suppressing the white South.
>the Klan's call for "white supremacy" was simply a desire to maintain the white, Protestant character of the nation as it was founded, not a desire to actively harm other races.
>the Klan acknowledged the right of other races (blacks, Jews, Catholics) to form their own separate organizations, as long as they didn't try to rule over whites.
