If the Japanese copied so much stuff from the Chinese, why didn't they have eunuchs as well?

Eunuchs come with their own set of problems
>>
>>18386243
my understanding is
china and korea: neoconfucianism
japan: more buddhism influenced than other two for longer
>>
>>18386322
how could it be longer when china and korea received buddhism long before japan
not to mention the fluctuating acceptance of buddhism in japan which was persecuted many times throughout history even as late as Meiji era
buddhism in japan is like christianity in the west, people say they follow it but 90% of people don't give a shit it's just sometyhing that exists in the background

Koreans didn't even castrate their eunuchs for a long time but used the same label which is very weird.
>>
>>18386243
They did have castration (of males and females) as a method of punishment in their law codes just like the Chinese.
Obviously can't say if that's the reason in particular, but they never made a system where doing it to yourself made sense. The point of eunuchs is simple. People who can do government-related work without having any chance of mixing with the royals and getting power through their bloodline.
Well in Japan, EVERYONE is (or claims to be) directly related to the royal family to hold any modicum of power. In such a system, the value of being related to the royal house is practically nill (everyone pretends to be and no one can tell), while at the same time if you are to hold any power at all, you yourself are already pretending to be related to them... so castrating oneself is just counter-productive "Oh yeah, I'm emeperor's cousin 10 times removed so let me cut my balls off just in case I spread emeperor's genes within emperor's family??"

They have blueprints for newhalf.

>>18386322
neoconfucianism is actually the reason Japan became so ethnocentric/xenophobic even compared to their neighbours
>>
>>18386243
not even japan is as cruel as china.
>>
>>18386243
they are all eunuchs
>>
>>18386316
Sure, but did those problems actively prevent the Nips from using them or was there some sort of cultural aversion?
>>
>>18386243
Japan mirrors Southern China while Korea and Northern China (not including steppe barbarians who they really hated) mirror each other
>>
>>18386243
Japanese Shintō culture developed in Japan, independent of any outside influence.
>>
>>18386243
The tl;dr is that the Chinese are unique in believing that there are no standards humans can be held to without also holding a gun to their head.
>>
>>18388632
since it's an old culture that has seen some shit, I am inclined to consider their viewpoint very carefully.
>>
>>18386543
I can never be sure if they cut off only the balls or the whole thing.
Even just the balls is cruel.

Shinto is Japanese Daoism (To in Shinto means Dao if you didn’t know)

the japanese don't really need castration

It's certainly true if you have a giant population to manage and do not believe that human beings have or deserve innate rights or value
