40k economy system which is not based on debt makes much more sense than the play pretend debt based economy

the economy itself is based on the imperial tithe though, everything revolves around the need to feed men and materiel into war machine. it's very much a credit based economy but the credit is everyone's obligation to send dudes to die fighting for the Emperor
