It always was, fedoraism always had its roots in the Trad idea, since it was about returning to a past where 'when men dressed properly'.
I honestly don't know how fedoras ever got linked with atheism, particularly when some of the people often posted as fedora atheists were actually Christians (including matt walsh in a video where he was arguing about why he should be allowed to fuck 16 year olds)
