Genuine question. Is it mean to replace pagan goddess worship?
>>18389397jewish subversive influence. they wish to have all chrisians believe that jews are the source of divinity
Mary has always been prevalent in Christianity
>>18389397Yes. Racial caste system and all that. You've got a high literacy rate now to the point of jeets on the net all the time and still reeee at niggas reading so… it's just not biblical and Jews see that and take it all the way to the bank at all the unbiblical people.
>>18389397Because in a religion where women are prohibited from the priesthood, you have to give them something to latch onto
>>18389411She doesn't do a while lot in the Bible aside from birthing Christ.
>>18389397A major part of Roman Christianity is filling up spaces and brains with pantheons of religious figures. So having a major divine feminine figure is only natural when there are so many dudes in play.In contrast, protestants don't have a psychological need to balance such experiences out when they often don't even get passing exposure to Roman imagery and narrative.
>>18389417Are you fucking dumb? Women don't care about religion despite having the virgin mary to look up to.Church attendance is always majority male, and most of the youngsters that are joinijg the church are exclusively male on a ratio of 5-7 for every 1 female. Most join to find a gf or make friends, women don't need that, women do not fucking join the church. The only women joining the church are single mothers with completely broken lives. There are a lot more old women in the church than old men, because old men don't reach old age as much as women.
>>18389411Outside the Gospels she is not mentioned once, yet Sarah is called out mother by Paul. I Don't think Jesus even considered her his mother, he always referred to her as woman when he spoke to her, never called her mother once. Jesus is supposed to be billions of years older than her, she would be more of a daughter to him than a mother.
>>18389621Everything you said is false
>>18389665I spend more time inside my city's main church than at my home dude but whatever, not gonna doxx myself to win an internet argument. Trust me, girls, teen girls, and young adult ladies are not joining the church, seeing a new female face become a regular is crazy. My situation is not anecdotal, some other church obsessed anons have all those pictures of vatican citiy being 90% men. It is mostly men who join, I applaud them for it.I will clarify I am not counting men and women who come here to cry for whatever reason once and I never see them again as joining the church, in case you are confused. I have seen more random women come inside and cry than men, absolutely, but they do not join the church itself, they never visit again, like I said they only come here once and their face is lost forever. Extremely small numbers become regulars.
>>18389671It's precisely because they worship that demon goddess.
>>18389660Jesus is not God wearing the skin of a man, he is 100% human and lived as a human would.
>>18389621https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2016/03/22/the-gender-gap-in-religion-around-the-world/Women are more religious than men throughout the developed world.
>>18389676Lmao Prot churches are just as empty, if not more empty as Cath churches. I have a few new bars opening up in the former churches of small rural towns near me where you'd expect the "devout, hardworking religious simple farmers" to live, except even the old folk have praised the conversion of prot churches to restaurants. People, men and women alike, rural and urban dweller alike, all leave Christianity and the last vestiges of the faith are in the Catholic churches. And even then they only visit during Christmas or something.Outside of circlejerk internet forums like this, even in rural areas people don't care about Christianity and barely go to church ever.
>>18389698I don't think there's any juice left for another Great Awakening, either.People aren't believers with lapsed attendence, they just don't really believe anymore.
>>18389713The only thing that prevented many as coming out as "nones" before was the Cold War and the general resentment against non-religion. Now there is nothing of the sort, and it is socially detrimental to attach yourself to any religion at all when all of them are connected with sexual abuse scandals, cults, or both. Even in rural areas, farmers would much rather gather at the local pub than go to church.
>>18389698>Lmao Prot churches are just as empty, if not more empty as Cath churches.Depends on what you mean by Prot. The historical denominations are tending to die out now, especially when they are pro-lgbt. Many eva/nondenom churches are doing fine
>>18389681Since you Catholics believe Mary ascenced in the flesh, do you think Jesus still obeys her there as the ten commandments instruct?
>>18389755Yes, but Mary’s will was oriented to Gods, thus there was no paradox
>>18389681She's still a child compared to him.
>>18389752>eva/nondenom churchesAre doing fine if you consider third world conversions and immigration into western countries, but that’s a whole another bag of worms. These are the kinds of churches that spawned the New Atheist movement, and with good reason: with doctrine that’s essentially whatever your local backwater church pastor Bob thinks is right, anybody who gets to study even a little bit of history and philosophy quits the religion. Any increase we see in these churches’ numbers are purely a generational effect; the next generation will not share their zeal. This is validated by Pew Research Center studies that show the kids of the religious Christians have an about 50% chance of retaining religious beliefs into adulthood, while those of the non-religious have a 90% chance, which vastly overcorrects any advantage caused by higher birth rates or immigration amongst the religious.
>>18389621I grew up catholic and church was nothing but women and children. Men stayed home watching football unless it was something special like Easter mass.
>>18389752In the case of evangelical churches you have a couple in town that have strong attendance because it's seen as the hip place to worship while the rest are down to single digit numbers in membership and desperately begging anyone and everyone to join with no luck. Religion won't die in the US but I think the mass majority of churches, some pretty old even, will shut their doors and consolidate into bigger churches.
>>18390015The consolidation has happened for the most part. Lutherans and Anglicans are mostly in communion except for a few conservative groups, and there’s a lot of ecumenical dialogue happening with them and the Methodists. The Catholic Church is doing a lot of work to reconcile with at least some of the churches of Eastern Orthodoxy, and have also made the first efforts at reconciliation with the Lutherans since the Reformation. In my city the Lutherans and Anglicans go to the same churches, and there’s no distinction.
>>18389397God the Father respected Mary over any other woman in the world and in history, so much so that He decided to use her as a vessel for the Son. Why do protestants think they can debate God's judgement?
>>18389397Yes. Saints are also replacements for lesser deities associated with specific objects or concepts.
>«WHY IS THE MOTHER OF GOD SO PREEMINENT IN THE RELIGION FOUNDED BY THE SON OF GOD?»
its crazy how feminine latinx and meds are, they even take their moms last name lol
>>18390472>MOTHER OF GODWhich one?>While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”Matthew 12:46-50>As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”Luke 11:27:28
