A major part of Roman Christianity is filling up spaces and brains with pantheons of religious figures.
So having a major divine feminine figure is only natural when there are so many dudes in play.

Church attendance is always majority male, and most of the youngsters that are joinijg the church are exclusively male on a ratio of 5-7 for every 1 female. Most join to find a gf or make friends, women don't need that, women do not fucking join the church.

The only women joining the church are single mothers with completely broken lives. There are a lot more old women in the church than old men, because old men don't reach old age as much as women.

I spend more time inside my city's main church than at my home dude but whatever, not gonna doxx myself to win an internet argument. Trust me, girls, teen girls, and young adult ladies are not joining the church, seeing a new female face become a regular is crazy. My situation is not anecdotal, some other church obsessed anons have all those pictures of vatican citiy being 90% men. It is mostly men who join, I applaud them for it.

I will clarify I am not counting men and women who come here to cry for whatever reason once and I never see them again as joining the church, in case you are confused. I have seen more random women come inside and cry than men, absolutely, but they do not join the church itself, they never visit again, like I said they only come here once and their face is lost forever. Extremely small numbers become regulars.

I have a few new bars opening up in the former churches of small rural towns near me where you'd expect the "devout, hardworking religious simple farmers" to live, except even the old folk have praised the conversion of prot churches to restaurants. People, men and women alike, rural and urban dweller alike, all leave Christianity and the last vestiges of the faith are in the Catholic churches. And even then they only visit during Christmas or something.

Outside of circlejerk internet forums like this, even in rural areas people don't care about Christianity and barely go to church ever.

The only thing that prevented many as coming out as "nones" before was the Cold War and the general resentment against non-religion. In the case of evangelical churches you have a couple in town that have strong attendance because it's seen as the hip place to worship while the rest are down to single digit numbers in membership and desperately begging anyone and everyone to join with no luck. Religion won't die in the US but I think the mass majority of churches, some pretty old even, will shut their doors and consolidate into bigger churches.

Lutherans and Anglicans are mostly in communion except for a few conservative groups, and there’s a lot of ecumenical dialogue happening with them and the Methodists. The Catholic Church is doing a lot of work to reconcile with at least some of the churches of Eastern Orthodoxy, and have also made the first efforts at reconciliation with the Lutherans since the Reformation. In my city the Lutherans and Anglicans go to the same churches, and there’s no distinction.
