Why don't you read primary sources anon? Are you stupid? The frankish royal annals are very fun, there's a story about a guy who's beheaded for stealing cooking utensils from a church. Or in the chronicle of theophanes how he's very obviously coping when writing about the muslim conquests and just writes it off in some two pages. Or all the blatant bullshit said by jordanes about the goths conquering everything from Egypt to india and being the ancestors of the amazons
