Or is everything random and coincidental? (I'm not asking if you believe in God)
>>18392738I think life has a purpose, but I think the purpose of life is to simply be alive, and I think people tend to look passed this because this isn't a satisfying or grandiose answer, but if you really think about it, no answer is going to be particularly satisfying anyways, it's simply not possible to have a satisfying answer to what is for all intents and purposes the most amazing and mysterious phenomenon we know, which is life itself
>>18392742It seems like your answer to the question is "I don't know" which is fair enough.
False dichotomy.
>>18392758I do think life's purpose is to simply exist though, I don't think it needs to be more complicated than that. A tree is also alive but they don't question their existence, they simply convert carbon dioxide to oxygen, absorb water from the soul, and grow, and they're perfectly content with doing that. I'm perfectly content with being alive, to be able to experience this world for all it has to offer, and to share my personal thoughts with others. This is my purpose.
>>18392738Nothing has true being (existence in and of itself without cause) except God. Everything that happens then happens because God sustains it for some purpose
>>18392991>Everything that happens then happens because God sustains it for some purposeBut you don't know what that purpose is, do you?
