First of all, Easter is more or less the Christian version of Passover. In most non-Germanic languages, including the original languages that Christians first spoke (Aramaic, Greek, Latin) it is called Passover. This is why Orthodox call is "Pascha", derived from the Aramaic word "Pascha", which in turn comes from the Hebrew word Pesach "Passover". Pascha is also the name for it in Latin, hence "the Paschal Candle" in the liturgical setting. This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saT8v0RrLl0&t) explains all of this well.

The reason why Germanic speakers call it "Easter" is because the Christian Pascha was celebrated during this month for Germanic, specifically for Anglo-Saxon, people. It comes from "Eostre", which may have been a goddess yes, but that's about as far as any "pagan" connection goes. Just because a month, or even a holiday, is named after a pagan god doesn't mean they're actually honored at that period. Multiple months in the Jewish calendar, for example, are named after Babylonian gods because they derived their calendar from the Babylonian calendar. You would be committing the genetic fallacy to say they worship pagan deities.

Besides the only evidence we have for the worship of a pagan deity named Eostre comes from a medieval Christian monk, Bede the Venerable. He is literally the only person who ever mentions this supposed deity, we have no evidence for it otherwise from any pagan sources whatsoever.

We know Easter is ancient, apostolic in origin, just based on the way its date is determined. Unlike other Christian holy days, it alone is based on the cycle of the moon, not on the sun, just as the Jewish calendar is. That's because of its derivation from Pesach.
