it is chilling how God (who is supposed to be an omnipotent being who can literally do anything) says "nothing will be impossible for them". The word "nothing" being used in this way. By God. I don't think religious people see the full implications of this.

In reality:
God is still sovereign even with Tower of Babel
Humans with Tower of Babel can do anything in material realm or so
This means they are even more able to sin, do not have material realm limitations to teach them even basic things like perseverance, able to get their material desires and grow in those desires so fast they don't have time to stop and think wtf am i doing
Humans are forever enslaved by sin and the material, do not ascend
