You are a Gaul at the start of the Gallic wars, with all of the knowledge you currently have about the historical event. Your task is to survive, and change history in a significant way. What would you attempt to do?
>>
Easy mode is this:
>all the knowledge i currently have
>join romans
>shave dumb stache and cut hair
>completely betray people for several battles
>get promoted rapidly
>take all my money. wait 20 years
>hire a jewboat to take me to the levant
>Begin allowing large numbers of ethiopians and nubian peoples to migrate into the region.
>and when the locals bend at my feet and ask why
>heh *adjust glasses* it's just business.

run
>>
seek asterix and obelix asap to distribute the magic potion across gaul
>>
>>18405268
Join the Romans and tell Caesar more about the Gallic way of life so he can record and preserve it
>>
>>18405268
Vercingetorix did everything right and was still BTFO by Caesar's apparent historical plot armor. Even with the benefit of hindsight I don't know how they could've succeeded.

Fuck as many females there is, Overproduce and run the fuck away to Hungary or Morocco
>>
Switch sides and teach Caesar about electricity and gunpowder. Total Roman Victory
>>
>>18405268
It's 10 years until Alesia, if you don't have black powder until then you just might be an idiot.
>>

>-& hide tactic
Gualish victor!
>>
There's nothing you can do. The Gauls had numerous advantages over the Romans and had them all but defeated several times, only for Caesar to somehow salvage everything through dumb luck or some personal feat of valor that, if it's not true, still doesn't explain how his army didn't end up starved to death or ambushed.

Sooner or later Romans would find out how to make their own either by spying or bribery and create in industrial scale for themselves
>>

If you are a nobody, try to Romanize yourself so you can gain opportunities in trade or other areas by using your knowledge.
If you are in a position of power, use that knowledge to defend against Rome by organizing more modern tactics and type of fortifications.

The Romans were much more institutionally rigid than the Gauls. If you read the sources you notice how they become ever more like the Romans they were fighting.

vercingetirex's tactics initially were working well, it wasn't until he tried fortifying a position at alesia, where it all went south.

What wrong fortified a high ground?

If Gallic Empire was founded by Vercingetorix's grandson instead third centuries crisis
>>
>>18405268
Just surrender your lands and try to incorporate into rome with the less bloodshed possible.
Hell maybe Ceasar even makes you governor.
You save your people in the long run that way.
>>
>>18405268
Carve some present-day memes into stone and hide it around Gaul to confuse later archeologists.
>>
>>18405271
We... Retroactively jew, the jew? Crazy. It just may work.

>>18405348
You would be crucified. They murdered him for less. The late republic and empire ran on human suffering and not automating shit they easily could have.
>>

build another wall around caesar, duh
