That's not hypocrisy. Christians are immoral. They believe in divine command theory.

People hyper focus on catholicism in croatia during ww2, when the state was based on the pravaš idea that religion doesn't make a people. Muslims in the state were seen as equal and their culture was promoted and adored by the state, even a croatian orthodox church was founded. I don't know where this idea that the NDH was a hyper catholic clerofascist state originated, when religion was always secondary and mostly a cultural thing, like it is today.

Yes NDH politics were a lot more racial than religious obviously but they still identified as Christians. I'm just wondering how they squared that circle

I don't know how, but this clerofascist shit needs to stop. There was nothing expressly catholic about the NDH beyond what you would see elswhere. Anyone reading this should look into this whenever some serbshit or clueless western armchair historian tries to make it out to be state ruled by the church and expressly about the church as a building block of identity. The NDH looked past any religious affiliation as long as you identified as Croatian. The exact opposite of clerofascism. It was ethinc and national. Religion was just there as a cultural thing in some areas.

Also forced conversions to catholicism never happened. A croatian orthodox church was founded for orthodox croat believers that was accepted throughout the orthodox world, including the serbian church under Nedić. Lutheranism (brought to croatia by czecs) also had its own little reneisance in the north. Muslims I already mentioned as being the other major half of the state and population.

Okay but mass murder is also prohibited by Islam isn't it.

I have no idea. You have to understand that if one truly believes in God, he will follow his commandments no matter what. That is why 95% of people don't actually believe, because if they did, they would be too scared to actually commit major sins. The fact that they do, shows that everyone is faking it.
