Anyone reading this should look into this whenever some serbshit or clueless western armchair historian tries to make it out to be state ruled by the church and expressly about the church as a building block of identity. The NDH looked past any religious affiliation as long as you identified as Croatian. The exact opposite of clerofascism. It was ethinc and national. Religion was just there as a cultural thing in some areas.
