Marriage was created to bind a couple together to care for their young without arguments and the man abandoning them in the belief she is an adulterer.Humans are hugely r-selective with a long gestation period relative to body mass, a helpless infant that takes years to properly walk, the baby's head is so large it would kill the birthing mother 1/50 times before modern medicine, this despite the bones of the skull being unfused during birth.Despite internet memes, humans couldn't survive without some level of "love" and monogamy. Love is a very vivid feeling, when you have a strong crush it is like your heart is burning and everything the person you love does is perfect.
