What made it ok for the Franco-British to prevent people's self-determination? In their colonies and in Europe they did everything to prevent people from having power. German and Italian unification was hindered for a thousand years. The post ww-1 states created by the "Allies" functioned as but a mere colonies against other states. What caused this mindset? How did people like Wilson and Churchill and Napoleon III delude themselves into thinking they were righteous and not just maximizing their own power?
Most of the justification wasn't as domination- and pride-related as people may think. Humanism and civilizational enlightenment were often used to justify the spreading of judeo-democratic culture, because "it is in their best interest to learn from us", like the goyim nations of today are pushed to learn and adopt LGBT, BLM and other enlightening doctrines from their masters.
>>18407067Because Europe was extremely racist at the time so self-determination was basically reserved for Europeans. That's what made the nazis so special.Racially categorizing non-Europeans was standard practice. Racially categorizing other Europeans however, that was new and very repulsive.
>>18407306Nordicism was not at all new, it had been mainstream among Germanic right-wing intellectuals for decades and had already influenced government policy in several countries. What made the Nazis special and unprecedented was that they were utterly obsessed with and defined by Nordicism.
>>18407067>German and Italian unification was hindered for a thousand yearsThe HRE was a unified state prior to the 30 years war. Don't fall for French lies
>>18407067The British were willing to allow a unified Germany to exist, it was the French who weren't. In the Versailles conference the French pushed to completely dissolve Germany as a state and Lloyd George blamed them for all the problems that followed>At that time I had not had any direct dealings with Poincaré. I subsequently had and I now accept fully Clemenceau’s and Wilson’s estimate of him. An agreement with Poincaré simply meant that he thought an open break was inconvenient at that time. He was one of those men who, having acquired a reputation for honesty, can afford to be tricky.>Where a statesman was needed who realised that if it is to be wisely exploited victory must be utilised with clemency and restraint, Poincaré made it impossible for any French Prime Minister to exert these qualities. He would not tolerate any compromise, concession or conciliation. He was bent on keeping Germany down.>He was more responsible than any other man for the refusal of France to implement the disarmament provisions of the Treaty of Versailles. He stimulated and subsidised the armaments of Poland and Czecho-Slovakia which created such a ferment of uneasiness in disarmed Germany. He encouraged insurrection in the Rhineland against the authority of the Reich. He intrigued with the anti-German elements in Britain to thwart every effort in the direction of restoring goodwill in Europe and he completely baffled Briand’s endeavour in that direction. He is the true creator of modern Germany with its great and growing armaments, and should this end in another conflict the catastrophe will have been engineered by Poincaré. His dead hand lies heavy on Europe to-day.

>>18407306>Racially categorizing other Europeans however, that was new and very repulsive. When Benjamin Franklin classified the continental Europeans as Niggers, Europe already had a long history of very detailed racial profiling.

>>18407067>Germany should be rewarded after losing a war
>>18410064Unironically the Germans were hoping for this to be the case in 1918.Few people know this, but the Germans at first officially surrendered only to USA because they were hoping Wilsons 14-points of self-determination would benefit Germany. Yeah they'd lose the eastern Polish-majority territory but they would gain the huge amount of German diaspora. The Austrians had roughly the same idea:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_German-AustriaIt was also a reason why Germany initiated their revolution in 1918, because one of US conditions was that Germany must be democratic.Naturally the western powerrs of Britain and France freaked the fuck out when they heard about this, and it was a major reason why they were quick to accept the German armistice in 1918 instead of simply continue pushing into Germany and occupy the entire country (and by that make even stronger demands on Germany in any peace agreement). They rushed to accept German surrender because they wanted to minimize American involvement in any peace treaty since American forces were still somewhat small but were rapidly building up.The fact that the allies were quick to accept German surrender consequently made it possible for Ludendorff to claim that the German army was still "undefeated" and thus stabbed in the back. The Versailles negotiations and its backgrounds is a lot of shenanigans the more you read about it lol. Just a massive fuckery between 3 supposedly 'allied' states that wanted completely opposite things to happen and tried to outmanouver each others, and it left no one satisifed, least of all the Germans.
