Why is a man getting cucked seen as "funny" even in old American humor?
>>
Because if you’re a cuck it means you’re a weak faggot that can’t please his own woman

You'll be surprised at the amount of machismo guys throughout history who got cucked.
>>
Because it's hot

The purpose of comics like this at the end of the day is attract your interest, and dysfunctional dynamics draw interest. It's the same in movies tv shows etc. outlandish content sells. Of course the cynics among us like to say that it simply reflects on how common it is in actual real life. A third position might claim that it didn't use to reflect real life, but its influence on the human psyche had manifested it to become common.

It's just a form of mockery.
You may not find it very funny (and neither do I tbf), but it is and has always been an extremely common theme in comedy.

Laughing at the misfortune of others is the basis of most comedy, especially if the target of laughter is pompous and clueless.
Several of the Canterbury Tales are centered around cheating wives and clueless husbands. The main plot of Shakespeare’s Merry Wives of Windsor is two wives convincing their husbands they’re being cucked by degenerate grifter Falstaff, while they each make Falstaff think they’re in love with him as they prank him.
