"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."2 Peter 3:3-4
>>18409183Jesus is not even talking about himself. People get confused about this, but he didn't think he was the "Son of man". What he did think was that God was going to come back and destroy the powers of evil (Rome), and Jesus would be there, still alive. He thought it was going to happen in his lifetime.
>>18409160The arrival of the Most High God with his ten thousand angels to judge all the inhabitants of the earth was first prophecied by Enoch. There is no doubt about the arrival of that glorious and dreadful day. He is coming with an amazing reward, a reward that will make you greater than the gods, everybody will want to receive that reward but he will give it only to those who were innocent of heart, to the rigtheous who obey the commands, to the oppressed who suffered at the hands of a wicked man, and to all those who helped the poor and needdly and alleviated the burden that was placed on them.To all who placed all their faith on him he will give this awesome reward, and nobody in all eternity will be able to take it away from them.
